ok im tryin to make a bong outta a carona bottle and i have a glass drill bit, whats the best way to start drilling cause i already popped one bottle trying to do this.

I've heard that the best way to do this, is to start by tapping the bottle with the drill bit - like, break into the thickness, if you get me.
Then, you have to 'twizzle' the bit with your fingers, or a hand drill - takes ages, but then anything worthwhile takes ages ;)

I just had a thought...try masking off the 'target' area with masking tape first - this should reduce the amount of shock waves that travel through the glass.

You gotta go realy slow(variablr speed drill) till you sorta etch or nick the glass. It will help to lube w/ soapy water

ive been looking at drill bits and stuff, considering making bongs but dont know how

to drill properly and also how to waterproof it

Practice makes perfect for drilling... Its the only way.

Waterproofing is much easier. Some clay, silicone, or hot glue will work, among many other things.

Yeah it takes some time, you cant just drill then bam its done. ive went through hella bottles and shit till i got it down. Helps if you got a good drill with vari speeds.
