if you was given a magic potion which would enable you to live forever would you take it? i personally wouldn't want to live forever, this world is too fucked up and getting worse and i wouldn't want to see all my family and friends die.

I've always wanted to do that! Goto bed tonite and wake up as a four year old and relive my life.

But I wouldn't want to live for eternity. Especially considering our lives are much simpler than they once were for our ancestors, and if this is as good life gets, which might not last very long, I say no.

I don't know would want to live forever, but I would like to be able to come back every 50 years or so to have a wee look at how the world has progressed.
I don't know whether I would relive my childhood again, it was not ideal first time round but it has made me who I am today and I reckon I have turned out OK.
I think the magic potion would be Guinness flavored

nope. i wouldnt want to be around when the nuclear war happens, when the sun dies, when the universe recycles itself into the next big bang, theres alot of fucked up shit that would happen before forever is over so ill have to pass.

If only. I'd love that. I'd get my mates to shoot at me for fun haha! Really thinking about it that way, not being able to get killed, means you cant die a horrible painful nasty death. No one wants that, so i think i'd probably drink it and live forever. I'd rather do that and live if i get stabbed than just bleed and die. Not to mention i'd be damn pissed off if i couldnt get my revenge. Broken legs, fingers cut off, head stamped into the ground and throat slit. Fuck, now i really want this damn stuff! After a few hundred years, maybe even up to a thousand on Earth, I will hopefully be able to leave it in a stable state, and go explore the universe. I want to experience a supernova. I want to watch a star collapse, then begin sucking everything in its gravitational field, including light, in. I want to enter a black hole and see what it feels like to be reduced to a singularity. Humanity's purpose in this universe is to experience. All experiences are logged in a collective pool of knowledge. I would love to contribute... to learn... To observe and perceive these phenomenae for myself.

I would not want to live forever. There is no excitement in life without alittle fear and the most universal fear is the fear of death. Think about that feeling you get in your gut when you look over a ledge of something really high that feeling wouldn't exsist. No death = less excitment.
