wow.
you all wont belive this but i came home from town 2 days ago and the house down the street was blocked off by police tape..

today i found out they found a dead body behind the house, but no details except he was from like 2 towns over. I live 30 miles from town next to a very small community of 150 people. i dont know all my neighbors in fact i only met a few of them.

my point is this guy was murdered and dumped in my neighborhood which is 30 miles from town. so i suspect one of my neighbors had something to do with it. ya know deal gone bad or some kind of theft .. i dont know..pretty fuc**D up and scary .

now i got my mossberg by my bed side at all times since then i also just got 2 new pups. I dont do anything illegal here but i got like tools and cars and generator..comic books.. the list goes on. The cops take like 45 minutes at least to get out here. man i dont know I guess i just neded to rant.. ill post when this gets solved and i feel safer.

Answer: Mind my business, respect people I know and don't, and hope for a greater tomorrow.

On planet Earth there is no complete safety from anything.

I sleep next to a man who is 6' 4" and weighs 265 pounds. My husband is my safety device. But I agree with Innominate. No one's completely safe. Just look at those shoppers at the mall in Nebraska today.

Normally people dump bodies in areas they have nothing to do with, Noxqqq. Someone doesn't have to have watch too many TV detective shows to know cops canvass the area in which bodies are found to find clues. Any halfway smart criminal (I know smarts may not always be a factor) is going to dump a body far away from his usual places to throw cops off his scent.

Iâ??m not worried about anyone getting in while Iâ??m home. Weâ??ve got two Segal deadbolt locks loaded with Medico cylinders, one with a standard cylinder protector and one with a heavy-duty steel Medico cylinder guard. One lock also has an indoor cylinder that requires a key to open from inside, to prevent someone from breaking a hole through the peephole and opening the door, or getting past the window gate and using the door to exit. Window locks and Window gates on fire escape window. Some of this is not legal for apartments here.

If they want to get in bad enough, especially while you're not home, they can. About all you can do in that case is get alarms or a dog.

My philosophy has always been to make it difficult enough that the burglars will pick a softer target.

I think Innominates got it,Being a cool repsectful person is a good start.....plus if your like me and got loads of family living with you,and it helps that there is Construction tools lying around,if your not familiar with my yard...You'll trip and fall on a pick or something while in the dark.

I'd be scared if I lived in the U.S too, there is punks with GUNS who would put a fucking bullet in you for a tootsie pop (whatever the hell they are).

Keep my doors bolted up, and i have a collection of knives around the house, so they're easy to get ahold of no matter where i am inside. Theres abit of scaffolding in my bedroom but i dont think i'd use that. I'm more likely to go for the knives.

The other option would get me arresed and get my SGC taken away from me.

Unfortunately this can be said now in the UK as well, and whats the governments response---lets ban airguns, that will really help.
Also in the UK if I was to attack a burglar I would be up on a charge.
We just try to keep everything locked up tight at night.
Mrs NCM has another "item" of defence as a last resort for when I am at work and she would not hesitate to use it, it's a case of self preservation after all.

Cheers and be safe

Lock up tight, make sure the dog is in for the night, and the pearl-handle is in the nightstand.

Stabbed for Soreen cake is more likely than getting shot for a tootsie pop over here, mainly because we don't have tootsie pops.

EDIT* Fuck, I threw my roach book on my rolling tray and it knocked over my half prepped joint.

so sat urday night i was woken up by some bright lights shining in my windows. it startled me a lot cause there are no streetlights or any outside lights in my yard. and if someone comes up the driveway their lights dont shine in my room. basically there is nothing that can lite up my room but a ufo or a hellicopter. lol
it was a chopper flew right overhead and shook the housea little. turns out it was life flight . each time they land out here its freaky cause as theyre circleing down they fly over my house twice then land in the next street over. then they left and i went back to bed.

Well yesterday one of my neighbors brought over some deer meat and told us they found another body. at the same house. but this time it was in the front yard. i didnt see any cops or read about it in the papers yet, but if thats true i swear to god im getting a c.w.p. asap. just to feel a little safer ya know.. well gottta go feed the animals.

Before I go to bed I strip naked, grab a tube of KY and wander the house looking for burglars. Ok I dont really but they sure would shit themselves if they saw that.

I leave all my doors and windows unlocked so if I have a burglar I can make a quick getaway.

Burglars are so stupid ;)

I don't lock the doors, but just before I go to bed; I open up the front door and make sure my guard dog is awake, on the front porch. He's a very sound sleeper.

As long as they don't go the back door, I'm fine.

i dont have a gun yet but i do have a baseball bat next tto my bed. along with an a bunch of knifes. Got a dog that i bet would love to take a chunk out of a burglers leg. Other than that though i dont really know. I can go out my window and get on the roof if i had to escape but theres no way ide leave my house if there was a burgler and the rest of my family in it.

I got a little 27 inch aluminum bat that I keep near me while I am sleeping. It is light and could crush a skull with one executed blow..I sleep so light I can hear somebody tip toe.

I tape a nicely rolled joint to my front door, that way if anyone with malevolent intentions comes along all he will get is a nice high and probably end up wandering off to find a ho-ho.

Hahahaha! That's good!!!! rofl! :rastasmoke::rastasmoke:

I stop smoking about an hour and a half before I go to bed and then I grab my ghost busters pajamas and my Claymore mine detonators that are staged around the perimiter.
I live in Studio City, in a very nice quiet area of the Valley. The helicoptors do not fly over head here like they did when we lived 2 miles away in North Hollywood but, they do fly around and annoy us now and then.
I feel safe in my house and do not own a firearm. If I did own a firearm, I would be tempted to use it and people would die for looking at me sideways.

I feel very safe where I am. I'm 8 floors up from the ground in an apartment, and have a dealbolt on my door. I'm sure someone could knock it down with a very large hammer of some sorts, but I'd have more than enough time to grab a blade and defend myself, but do I worry about that? No. It's an adult building that is up to date and secure against that stuff, plus being downtown, it isn't a target for crime really.

I have a love for decorative knives and sharp blades. I got one with a 12 inch blade on it that will easily injure someone. ;)
