This seems like a dumb quesion but couldnt find in search. How about storing bud in same room or even closet. I have one room that is kinda the do it all room for me, closet for plants, room for vcr, ps2, art table. I have found so much good advice on here,i add it to what I've already been shown and I'm off to a good start I think.

Nicotine is poisonous to Marijuana plants. If you smoke cigarettes and are trying to grow, QUIT SMOKING. Nicotine stays on your fingers and can make your plants sick after touching them, but if your smoking regular old bud then you're fine, just no stogies.

As to smoking in the grow room, I live in the high desert and I have an outdoors growshed that I smoke in: when it's too cold outside, and when it's too hot outside. (ok...actually, I smoke in it often, regardless of the season) I tend to my plants daily, and they have no problems at all.
Do I blow the smoke on them directly...? No, and of course I have adequate ventilation.
Have seen no problems in the past few years of smoking Camels or cannabis in the grow room, and I will continue doing so. (Albeit far less, cannabis still has toxins)
Curious how all of you keep ambient smog (radon, VOC's, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxides...) out of your growrooms?
And do you all filter your water of these chemicals before watering or spraying?
If you are uncomfortable letting someone smoke near your grow, fine...but there's really no reason to get all anal about it. (no, nicotine residue on your fingers from smoking a Camel will not kill or do noticeable damage to your plants. Unless you were to scrape it off, save it, and after a few years, you may almost have enough to inject a lethal drop in a clone)

I wish I could fit more than one person in my grow room in order to smoke in there! I don't think I'd ever sit in there and smoke by myself though. I'm pretty sure second hand smoke doesn't harm plants or smoke in general, unless there's a lot of like there would be if the place was on fire. Don't let that happen and you'll be fine.

For clarity I'm closet growing but I have a kinda big closet.
I've got a 32 inch fan that I usually have going full on.
So in laymans terms, I've attempted to blow cigarette smoke directly into my closet. The fan blows it out. Its pretty gangster.

i have never seen a problem with smoking cigs near plants
i have only heard about this problem, and i have never seen a picture of this problem either. that shows how much you have to worry about it or how often it happens.
tobacco has always been a natural insectaside for plants for many many years and that hasnt killed off most the plants
