Ok, I know we have a lot of members from outside the U.S.A. but the Baltimore Ravens just played their hearts and asses off and had Rex Ryan (the defensive co-ordinator no less!) not called a time out, they would have given the New England Patriots, who are going for an undefeated season, their first loss. Wow what a game. They almost stopped them several times after that but the Pats came through again. Wow! Much respect to those bastards!
For those who didn't see it, what was it like 1 minute 30 seconds to go and New England had a 4th and 1 from around the Ravens' 30 yard line (down by 4, a field goal did no good). The go for it, get stopped by the Ravens, but 1/2 second before the play was called, the defensive co-ordinator for the Ravens called time out, cancelling the play. New England gets 13 yards on a scramble by Brady, then gets a defensive pass holding call giving them new life after a failed 4th down play, leading to a score.
Alright Pittsburgh, it's up to you and you aren't playing well on the road.
For our soccer fans, this is almost the equivalent of the headbutt from last year's world cup. I don't have time to edit the spelling on everyone's name from that play last year so don't be upset with me by giving it a generic term like that. The Ravens even got 3 penalities on the TD (45 yards assested on the kickoff) and considering they lost by 2 yards on the last play, that might have made a difference. It was somewhere between a choke by the Ravens and good play by the Pats and some help from either the refs or fate or whatever.
