Not anymore. I did for fun until I got addicted. I HATED feeling powerless and also it made me feel like CRAP every day. In highschool I had to go out in the freezing cold before school every morning and risk getting suspended during the day to go smoke.

No. I've tried cigars, but tobacco is just hot butt-tasting smoke that doesn't get you high, or down, or...anything. I can't see why people do it except for the reputation around it.

there's all diffrent reasons why we start.... the reason we stay is the same however....
it's just so damned hard to put down...
i mean you can lie to youself all you want about why you keep smoking, even when you know what it's doing to you... go ahead and convince yourself you can quit IF YOU WANT TO, or that you're not addicted you just like doing it... it doesn't matter what you say, honestly... it all boils down to one thing... you're addicted
the denial most likely comes from refusing to admit defeat...

I'll smoke one when me and my buds are chillin' out after hittin that bong, but even then I prefer a cigar (or a black&mild)- and other than that, no.

Nope. I can barely breathe regular air on some days because of asthma. Wouldn't do anything to make that worse.

No, I quit...I can't afford financially to support a tobacco habit as well as a marijuana habit..so it makes more sense to buy something that could possibly decrease my chance of getting cancer, rather than increase it by 20 fold...there's already plenty of everyday things that cause cancer, without me putting it to my lips every hour or so..

Yes and I wish I didn't. I try to stave it off by smoking my pipe but there really isn't much nicotine in that so I end up having one shortly after anyway.

My father has been a cig smoker for a long 40 years. He did smoke around me during my childhood, and for as much as he did, I find it plausible to believe that his doing so configured my psychological moods.
Tobacco is the greatest killer of the world, way more addictive than heroin, and they have a great affect on the smoker's mood.
Me, become a slave to the tobacco companies? We need to be smarter than doing what makes us look good.
The fault is not all on you, but your government as well. They are as much responsible for the addiction as yourself. ($$$) :(

I'll smoke a cigarette with friends if I'm very drunk, but never any other time. Taste like shit, make my head feel terrible, and they're expensive.

Yes, and I hate that I do, but I've been smoking for 14 years now, and I'm only 28. Started at 14, and my parents didn't really care, I guess because they did too. I would like to quit before I am 30 though.

I've been smoking a pack of camels a day for about a year now..... I know it's unhealthy, and I will probably quit for new year's.... If not, definitely before July when I go to trade school. If I'm smoking then, I will smoke all the time due to the fact that I'm living away from home, and I'll never quit.

Its not sheer automated addictiveness that drives smokers to smoke. Im most definetly not advocating it but we smoke because there is a certain degree of pleasure to it, the drag and release the highly relaxing buzz from one after a 12 hour shift.
Im weird I only like a cig if I havent smoked one for sometime. Im a cigarette a day smoker.
Question to any pack a day smoker: Why the need for so many? I can understand if youve had a long stressfilled day but one every but it cant be that hard to go for a solitary hour without one.

i smoke the most when im out or drinking. like if me and my 1 roommate went to a party and it started getting nutty a cig break is the perfect time out. an excuse to go outside, or get out of a weird conversation, or to space out excessive drinking a little bit. its also a way to get people to come with you to talk alone. chatting up a bitty? chances are they'll go for a cig with you if they're into doing things to your wang diddly.
yeah theyre great at lunch/after work too. my problem is after i eat, like any meal even BREAKFAST, i want a smoke. and the first smoke in the morning i still catch an uplifting buzz off of. if im driving, i want a cig in my hand. taking the garbage out? cig.
i got addicted to doing stuff accompanied by a cigarette. and at school, my roommates and i would be like stuck inside bored or studying for hours and then we'd all realize we hadn't had a cig in a while, and we'd be like 'ok cig break.' we all smoked, that hurt me a lot too.
and if someone was upset or something, cig break time was like a timeout to talk about it. sort of a water cooler effect i guess.
theyre also waaaay cool and make me look older. obvious facts.

Jagarr, I don't know about the "cool" part, but smoking tobacco will definitely make you look older! Have you ever LOOKED at a heavy tobacco addict? Wrinkle city! Especially around the mouth and eyes. Bad teeth (or dentures), often as not. Smelly breath and fingers. And how much older will you look at 50? Will you look 60? 70? Bigger question- Will you even see 70???? There's a reason they are nicknamed "Cancer Sticks" and "Coffin Nails"! Think about it!- Granny:hippy:

haha thank you granny but i was being sarcastic about that last part :D
yes i know cigs are disgusting and that i ought to quit. i also know that i should probably not eat wendys so much, and that its bad to leave my contacts in for like... a week straight without removing them. video games rot my brain daily, and ive lied before on my resume.
but i like smoking damnit, and its hard to quit! wendys is freakin delicious. taking my contacts out every night is a pain in the ass. video games are damn fun and without some lying i've virtually no hope of attaining even an entry level position, which i require if i want to buy fun/essential stuff like cigarettes weed wendys contacts and video games even though all they do is hurt me further. such is life. seeya six feet under =P

Nooo... I don't like the taste; even as an everyday pot smoker, the tobacco is really hard on my throat and lungs, and I feel kind of poisoned if I smoke. I don't even really like blunts, either.

Yes, and I thought of a solution of how I'm going to quit cigarettes.
I'm going to smoke only spliffs. Last night, I was hanging out at this guy house, and there was this dude who only smoked spliffs, and I had one with him. It was so nice, the marijuana mixed with the tobacco, it satisfied my tobacco craving while getting stoned.
Bastard cigarettes.

Smoked a few cigs when i was a teenager at school, and each time i ended up vomiting all over the place. My system did not like that stuff at all. I have vowed never to touch tobacco again, let alone smoke it.
