Ok, so both of these plants were started at the same time (about 2 1/2 wks ago).

As you can see one is considerably larger than the other. I used the same soil, water etc... Any ideas? I could be wrong but both (and there are two) the new growth nodes look...well tiny.

check the ph, maybe one got nute burn of something or too much/little water one day.
either that or its just a lower genetic quality. either way, they both seem small for almost 3 weeks old. when did they sprout? (break soil surface)

Well, it is bagseed so i guess it could be a genetic crap shoot. The first one sprouted 2 full wks ago and the smaller one is 1 about 1 1/2 wks old.
I've been watering them when they were just about dry (trying to never actually let them dry)

Anybody?
If it makes any difference there is peat moss in my mix, which I heard can screw with the ph. should I try manipulating it?

Well, yeah - that's one of the very most basic principles of growing. You really do a lot more reading and learn what you are doing.

I just measured the pH, it's around 7.
I've heard lime can lower the ph, how much should I use?
