Ok do so I know that to make UR buds turn purple U make it cold in mid-late flowering cycle.

but my question is what would happen if I left the lights off for
24-28 Hrs at the last day befor the :chainsaw::chainsaw:.

:rastabanna: :woohoo: :jumphappy: :S5:?
Would the buds turn more of a good purple color.

More Lights = Big Buds
Darkness = Increasing THC

To answer your quest, Buds change color with temps..Marijuana is a Plant/Tree and like regular Tree's in fall season the leaves change colors. And as for the 24-28 hr darkness, thats not a bad idea, but i usually give it a week darkness in the last week to increase thc.

from what I know, not giving them any light during flowering in a 24 hour period is not a good decision...the plants understand that there's light for 12 hours and there's 12 hours of dark..

not to mention that light = buds and buds = THC...

It is a bad thing but Its not... Light = Buds but what if you want more THC on your plants? there are some thc freaks and there are bud freaks...Some people like bigger buds and others like more THC....keep da cycle goin with 12/12 but if you consider doing the darkness then to be safe do it in the last week of flowering...It wont kill your plants

As far as I'm concerned, when a plant's genetics are 18% THC...I'd rather have more buds to smoke of that percent, rather than leaving my plants in the dark for any more than 12 hours per day

As for the initial question about inducing purple....Cool temps do that 50-60 degrees is probably adequate to achieve that...some strains are more susceptible to it than others, but they'll all turn at a point.

I can't say for sure without a scope, but those buds look like they're degrading (i.e. they were done a while ago).

How long have you been in 12/12?

I'm not tellin him to do so, do what you gotta do i just gave my opinion thats all, i'm not forcing no one here to do what they dont want to do, but if thats how you want your plants then cool, if your satisfied with bud size and want more thc then you should do the darkness if your satisfied with thc and want bigger buds then keep it 12/12 is all i stated... Like i said in my other post "IF" you want to increase THC then darkness WILL NOT KILL YOUR PLANTS, Whenever im satisfied with bud size i just give the last week of flower all darkness and THC is a bitch cuz each bud would be saturated in crystals....

Yup

Peace

Thats 9 weeks? keep the lights on LOL.. not to be rude, but give it a extra 2weeks of light 12/12, judging from the pics you dont need that much more thc... are those seeds i see?

The last thing you want to do is give those plants 2 more weeks. 99% of strains are done in 9 weeks or less. Judging by the brown spots those look like they should have been picked 2 weeks ago. The trichomes are the ultimate deciding factor in ripeness, however, and if you have a pocket microscope you should be able to tell if they're done based on their color. If you don't have a battery powered pocket microscope GO BUY ONE today. Best $20 you'll ever spend.

If you let those keep going they're going to die and mold over.... not good. Particularly the plant in the first photo.

LMAO.

and yes there R a few amber trich on her buds.
I was gunna harvest some time this next week.

and since noone seems to have any proof that going from 12-12 to all darkness for 25 hours or more will make more trich or not.

then Iam gunna try this and see how it will work.
and I will let ya know how it has worked out.

Don't hesitate to cut those plants down ASAP. THe longer you wait, the worse quality bud it will be. They're already past the point where ANY benefit can happen. At 9++ weeks they're strictly downhill.
