Im about to buy a 250w hps with a possiable air cooling reflector for about 218 dollars from htg supply.I really dont know if these reflector will be worth it for me because im on a low budget, but first i need some answers! If i was using these reflector would 1 or 2 pc fans be a good enough exaust to take the heat of the bulb threw some ducting or would i need go with a blower?Lets say the pc fan did work would i be able to hook up a filter to this ducting to get rid of the smell of weed, its only gonna be three plants. This system will be grown in a small cabinet with a small clone and veg section at the bottom and a flower section on the top.

pc fan is definitely not enough, usually ! You will need a extractor , Tubular or spiral ( its the same witch you use ) . 250 m3 30 W should do very good. But .... if it is a very small place maybe pc fan 120 mm will extract some of your heat produced by hps light ... a big maybe !

i actually changed my mind on getting that 250w system, instead im getting a 150w hps air cooled reflector with lens.I dont think ill need a filter because the reflector comes with a lens and its air cooler. So that means the air being pushed threw the exuast wont be from in side the cabinet itself but from the air outside in threw the lamp.
p.s.Would i have a better change on getting a pc fan to work on this air cooler system. Those fans move about 80cfm or about that so its not like the fans moving all the air out the cabinet just the reflector.

ALRIGHT SO HERES THE DEAL.IM BUYING THE 150W HPS FLORALUX,AIR COOLED WITH GLASS LENS SYSTEM FROM HTG SUPPLY AND GONNA BE GROWING IN A CABINET THE SIZE OF 2X1X5.iM GONNA BE USEING 2 PC FAN THAT ARE 70 CFM,ONE FOR INTAKE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CAB AND ONE AT THE TOP CORNER CONNECTED TO DUCTING THAT WILL BE ATACHED TO THE AIR COOLED REFLECTOR.ILL ALSO HAVE 2 EXTRA HOLES IN THE CABINET ONE ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE INTAKE/EXUAST HOLES JUST FOR PASSIVE AIR AND WIRES.THE PC INTAKE WILL RUN 24HRS ALONG WITH THE SMALL OSCIALLATING FAN FOR GOOD AIR CIRCULATION AND THE EXAUST JUST WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON.SO THATS PREETY MUCH HOW I GOT MY SET UP PLANNED, NOW I JUST NEED SOME INFO FROM YALL EXPERENICED GROWERS.DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTION ABOUT THIS SETUP IF YALL DO POST A COMMENT?IM ALL EARS.
P.S.wILL THREE PLANTS SMELL ALOT IF IM VENTING WITHOUT A CARBON FILTER?WOULD USEING THOSE ODOR SCENT GELS GET RID OF THE SCENT GOOD ENOUGH JUST FOR THOSE THREE PLANTS?

If you get 3 female plant, the odors are very strong in flowering ! Be smart, don't get caught because of the smell !
Don't now about these gels, I'd never use them .
Try to upload some pictures so people can see the box and setup.
You will get more answers and advices !

Besides the scent issue how does the total lay out of the cabinet sound, will it work? The cabinet im thinking of getting is a storage cabinet at target for 49.99 but i really dont know if its enough space.Does any know were to get a really good cabinet that is maybe 2 feet deep,2 feet wide and about 5 1/2 feet high.I looked around but nothing comes up i would build my own out of plywood but itll look ghetto and not very stealthy.
p.s.only squirel cage fans and can fans will work on a filter right? So do yall think a pc fan will work on a filter?

Looks like a cab that I have been working on myself, but I added a mother/clone room on the bottom. Im set on the 250w so I can upgrade in the future. To deal with the heat problem I sectioned off the top with a sheet of glass between the light and the grow space. One fan blowing in and one sucking out. The fans that I plan on using have different speeds so I might need to play around to see what works. For a filter Im going to use a 28 cfm squirrel cage fan maybe two, sucking the sweet stink through the filter out of the grow chamber, passive intake holes will be drilled in the floor of the grow room and the bottom of the clone room. Alowing fresh air to be sucked through the two chambers. Heres a pic of mine..Im not looking for huge plants so I think it will work.

I found a place that sells and cuts glass locally total price for glass $6 not fancy glass but they said it doesnt stop any light. The fan would be connected to the same timer as the light. When the light is off no need for fan. The fans in the grow chambers would always be on.

If you were using the light for vegging than yes fan would be on all the time.

I dont think going over 80$ is gonna be worth it to me.i know that the tents are 100$ and above and the custom cabinets are rediculious its just i need the perfect design that is affordable. And i can buy that exact cabinet at target for 50$ its just maybe a few inches shorter.
