Okay, so that portable microscope is a must!

I'm sure of it now: I harvested my first two grows too soon. I harvested when the pistils were turning brown (and still had white pistils on them). I hadn't a clue of the trichomes and how to properly assess them.

Okay, so lesson learned ...I followed Skrappie's tip and took a close look at a sample leaf: sure 'nuff the trichomes are still very clear in spite of several brown pistils on the buds. Okay, still learnin' all the time, grow 4 should go without a hitch! :smokin:

This one ain't done yet, I did snip a few "sample buds" which I'm currently drying, but the plant is still under the lights, I'm not harvesting the rest until the triches are just right...the next grow will be even better is what I should have said!

In advanced growing there are some good pictures of Trics under a microscope. Great pocket scope at Radio Shack. $10 what a deal. The best $10 you ever spent.
