I am one who is living in the new generation today yet I am so caught up in the 60s that I feel apart of it...is there anyone there who is this caught up in their music?

yeah man, except im stuck in the 80s with bands like the smiths, the cars, psychadelic furs, everyone thinks im a dumbass for liking 80s music and make fun of it, but i truly love 80s music and 70s music and some 90s music. but 80s music is so much better than today's crappy poser music.

Well im 18 and never bought into RAP. I mostly listen to metal from the 80's like def leppard and alot of late 70's stuff. My favorites are bon jovi, guns n roses, def leppard, ozzy, and tons more. That was real music back then, I cant stand lame rap!

I really like Nick Drake. His voice is very surreal. I guess I have 3 or 4 of his albums.

I wouldn't say any of you are 'caught up' in the sixties (seventies, eighties), but you appreciate music with a melody.

this guy definately knows what hes talking about...

grateful dead, jefferson airplane, hendrix, the doors, the stones...
you cant really come by a bad band you know (rock and roll that is), you might find a one hit wonder, but these days all bands are, one original hit, and two crappy covers and they got themselves a new mansion and a swimming pool in beverly hills.

Lets not forget Janis Joplin w/Big Brother & the Holding Company, along with Jethro Tull, The Byrds, and "forgotten" psychedelic-era bands like Sweetwater, Its A Beautiful Day, Spirit, and Moby Grape.

A Hendrix guitar solo, live.
Machine Gun!

Actually, that solo, I'm speaking of, is in 1970.
