It'll be fully setup in the next 3 days, we dug out a patch of dirt in my backyard and I am using a Frame from a porch swing as my frame and clear plastic to cover it with. Imma do 3 plants in there and Ill probably hang a light in there since it is already winter and the days are shorter..... ill take pix tomorrow...suggestions and questions welcome:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::th umbsup:

sounds like a good idea as long as nobody will question a plastic teepee in your back yard, lol. or see the light after it gets dark.

well I am legal here,so no need to hide from the legal part, but I do live in a ghetto area and Imma take my mom's dog for a while and just keep him back there to help guard when I am away
Yeah, hiding it from bandits is what I would worry about the most. How cool does it get at night where you are?

Yeah, I was thinkin the same thing KB, but there is another tree that would still be blockin the light. Imma add an artificial Light in there too somehow

Cool.
You don't even need THAT much light- since you will get sun during the day, your goal now is simply to maintain photoperiod. A couple big T12 flourescent fixtures hanging from the peak should accomplish that goal for ya, and not break the bank. A 2-bulb 4-footer costs $8-9 at home dePOT... plus bulbs, a couple chains, and be CERTAIN that you're protecting the fixture and any plugs from moisture.

Definitely Stinky...ur the best, I was actually thinkin of usin a T-12 Shop light. Imma throw my Digital Temp and Hygro in there to record the highs and lows so I can compensate for the heat changes

i am just curious, what are your winter lows where you live? here you might get negative 10 deg f at the most, a couple of times during the winter.

35F probably would be the lowest possible since we are in a valley....would a 4ft fluorescent shop light provide enough heat for the lows? I am gonna check the Highs and lows from a 24hr period w/my digital temp/hygro.

WOW i CHECKED MY dIGI THERMO/HYGRO THINGY AND THE HIGH TEMP IN THE gh WAS 118f...the coldest was 39F...The humity went to 82%...should I cut a vent or something?

Yes, You'll want to make a ridge-vent that you can roll up in the daytime when the temps are high, or install an exhaust hole and fan on a thermostat.
As for the nighttime lows, you really don't want to ever get down below about 50'F. Are you simply using this to extend your growing season? Or planning to grow all winter wiht it?
