ok well im helping out my little bro with some geometry homework, but it isn't really geometry its like an extra credit. but i have No clue what so ever, it is a very tough problem so i would like to post it up here, i will make it word for word

Dylan, Ashley, Jacob, Kyle, and Shelby are each a different age.

Figure out the age of each person.

1. In thirteen years, Dylan's age will be Sixty-Six less than three times the age of Shelby.

2. The sum of the ages of Jacob and Ashley is one hundred one.

3. Ashley is Thirty-Two years older then Kyle.

4. Jacob is Fifty-Three years younger than Ashley.

5. Dylan's age is nine less than two times the age of Shelby.

ok that is everything on the paper, i don't really understand it, so help would be greatly appreciated my bro says he needs this EC. thanks much

turn this into algebra and it becomes easy

so write it out as an equation and what should i set it equal to, or no equal sing?

so for number 1 would the equation be

13+66-3s?

D-Dylan
A-Ashley
J-Jacob
K-Kyle
S-Shelby

1. D+13=66, Solve for D to get Dylanâ??s current age, Shelbyâ??s current age when multiplied by three the product is greater than 66, however the information on Shelby in this number is not necessary, use it to check your work when you've found Shelby's age through #5.
2. J+A=101, See #4.
3. K+32=A, When you have found A, plug it in and solve for K.
4. A-53=J, Put the equation so it is A=something or J=something and then plug in the â??somethingâ?? into #2, that way there will only be one variable, then solve for it. Do the same for the other variable or plug in the one you already found and solve.
5. 2S=D-9, when heâ??s found Dylanâ??s age from #1, plug it in and solve for S to get Shelbyâ??s age.

Hope this helps.

i think being stoned helps me in math, if i am in class, i took a test a week ago stoned and i got like a B. so i can do math stoned... but only on tests

OK...now lets take this one step at a time...
1) in 13 bonghits, Dylan will be 66 bonghits behind the 3 brownies Shelby ate...oh crap...where was I???

Ok...

1 and 5 go together just fine, 2 and 4 the same but what's up with 3?

2D=5S-88
J=23.5
A=76.5
K=44.5

My name is Rusty Trichome, and I am NOT smarter than a fifth grader.

Any word on when we'll get the answers?

This is what I got:

Dylan = 53
Ashley = 77
Kyle = 45
Jacob = 24
Shelby = 31

Lets Put it back in the equation:

1. In thirteen years, Dylan's age will be Sixty-Six less than three times the age of Shelby.

------ 53 + 13 = 66 <---- Equals <-----------
31 + 13 = 44 x 3 = 132 - 66 = 66 <----^

2. The sum of the ages of Jacob and Ashley is one hundred one.

77 + 24 = 101

3. Ashley is Thirty-Two years older then Kyle.

77 - 32 = 45 = Kyle's Age.

4. Jacob is Fifty-Three years younger than Ashley.

24 + 53 = 77 = Ashley's Age.

5. Dylan's age is nine less than two times the age of Shelby.

31 x 2 = 62 - 9 = 53 = Dylan's Age.

okay, here's the equations:

Variables are obviously first initials.

1. d+13=3(s+13)-66
2. j+a=101
3. k+32=a
4. j=a-53
5. d=2s-9

a. Plug #4 into #2 to get a=77.
b. plug a=77 into #2 to get j=24
c. plug a=77 into #3 to get k=45.
d. plug #5 into #1 to get s=31.
e. plug s=31 into #1 to get d=53.

That's the correct work the teacher is looking for.

No offense GrinS, but how the hell did you come up with the answers? I feel like I'm looking at Stephen Hawking's work because I can't understand any of that three pages of work. lol. It took me literally 13 notebook lines to come up with it, but whatever floats your boat as long as you get it. Props to us.

But yeah, your teacher will be looking for actual equations and you defining your variables, and showing how you used substitutions. for exactly, when I say Plug #4 into #2 to get a=77, I mean:

a-53+a=101

2a=101+53

2a=154

a=77

etc....

Remember the best five rapers of all time are Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, dDylan, because he spits hot fire, mon!

Thats my form of algebra, cause I don't know what solutions to use, i just kinda remember 1/2 and free-hand the rest.

and those pieces of paper are small 6inch x 4inch press pad.
