Hello,
I have been growing this plant for a few months now, and I think it is very nearly ready to be harvested. I don't have a good little microscope to look at the trichromes and I have never done this before. Also, I'm not exactly sure how to go about harvesting (cut off everything?). Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry the pictures aren't better, I can take some more if you guys think it will help....

Im not an expert what-so-ever but Id have to say those look a little bit premature still. Maybe 2 more weeks? Correct me if wrong.

Yeah she looks a little early. Give her a little more time. I know it can be very hard to wait when you're this close but it'll be worth it in the long run.
She is pretty though.

your using flourescents arent you....yeah they need more time and also they look overwatered....you will want to flush out the nutes with clean water for about 4 days then dont water a day or two so they dont take forever to dry and risk getting moldy

Actually, being the cheap bastard that I am, I am using an incandescent light with a homemade growbox using lots of tinfoil. Also, again being cheap, I am not putting any nutrients in the H20. I think there was something in the soil to being with, but I have not been very careful with this gal so far.
Yeah.. Do you have any idea how long it's been flowering? I'm guessing this is bag seed, so it probably isn't going to mature as fast as some of the genetics you get online. Especially since it's under an incandescent.
Without a microscope it's gonna be a complete guessing game. I'd say cut it at like week 10-12. If it's already that old, just cut it. With that kind of lighting and no food I'm surprised you got even that much.
edit: speaking of which, definitely take more pics. I'd like to see what the whole plant looks like.

You still got lots of white hairs growing too so they've got a couple more weeks.

Here are some more pics, hope they help. Plant is smellin real nice... If the plant is straggely looking it is because it is straggely.

Not bad for going so cheap on everything. But seriously, get some energy saver bulbs, you can get them for $1 a piece and they are WAAAY better and use WAAAAY less energy. Go for 'warm white' since you are in flower.
The plant also looks overwatered.
But, for going so cheap I'm really surprised you got as much as you got. How many watts of light is on her? And is it all incandescent?

Your plant is screaming that she needs more energy (light) and fuel (nutes). A couple of cheap and easy fixes will do her wonders. It's not too late to correct these defeciencies, as she is not ready yet. I'd lose the tin foil, and paint the growbox flat-white, too. (use waterproof paint)
She also needs you to read to her, all of the posts in these forums, so she can absorb the knowlege with you, lol.
Ok, just kidding about the last one, she wouldn't know what the hell you are talking about, anyway.

True.
Anything that is smokable...great. Growing it for cheaper than you buy it...fantastic. Gaining the knowlege to make it killer...priceless.
(IMHO)
Any chance of getting some sun, a couple of hours a day? (window, porch...)

Which picture? I see no trichomes, to speak of. Loads of pistols ('hairs') but I really see no trichomes.

^^ Agreed. I don't see any Trichomes. Also Incandescent light? I thought that was bad, Everywhere I have read, said not to use Tin foil, and Incandescent lights. Tin foil eats light, and is bad because it reflects light unevenly as well. No nutrients? How the hell do you expect to yield over a 8th ? if that. The plant needs Proper Nutrients to Bloom and have a good yield. Those are really tiny buds too.
Ya, not bad honestly, but thats what you get for not doing it right the first time. Done properly your rewards would have been much greater with that nice plant.
I guess i am just "Preaching to the choir". Why don't people read and research, before they go out and grow.............................?
