Ok so I've been wondering about this. I broke up w/ my g/f of 10months a few months ago. long story but it came down to she just isn't someone i'm going to spend my life with. since we broke up she has gotten more stable emotionally, and we are friends. friends w/ benefits.
i'm well aware of the problems this can lead to, b/c girls tend to equate sex with deeper emotions and all.....
anyways this is not about all that, its about what i should do for christmas? i would mortgage my house on her getting me a present, but i have no idea what to give in return. we are friends, and she is cool, but we are not going to get back together. what would be something that would be nice, but not too nice to get her thinking strange thoughts again?

This is an opportunity to stress the buddies thing.
What would you get your guy friends if you had to get them a gift? Take her to a hockey game, or a totally not romantic concert, or a comedy show. What about a gift certificate for a store that doesn't carry anything even remotely girly? My old triathalon-training-buddy-with-benefits got me a gift certificate to a running shop so I could get some nice kicks. It was AWESOME, and I'm actually wearing them now, but totally not romantic at all. That would have just been silly.

Think PRACTICAL! Impractical gifts scream romance... lol...
