Hi, i know this has been talked about on many forums and sites, so im not trying to start another discussion. I just wanna know a few things that you good folks may be able to shed some light on.

Ive been getting too much 'gritty' weed lately :mad: of different variaties too. some with big specs of grit that 'click' between the teeth and some other stuff that make the ash all hard, still smokes, but tastes like shit!! and ive been told its some sort of cement :(
its obviously coming from the same bigger source, so im gonna stop buying it from the little fucks who only seem to care about the money.

problem is, im still left with a few bags of this crap that i aint gonna smoke. Some people have mentioned BHO, but seems fuckin dangerous man!! :wtf:
If i make cannabutter from this shite, (seems a safer option for me)will the grit seperate from the thc?? or will i be left with gritbutter?

also, are these legal budz any good? is it worth smokin them until this crap clears off (or ive grown my own, which ever comes first)??

If you make cannabutter it will be fine just make sure to strain it really well to get all the little bits of crap out. I dont think anybody really knows about the legal buds. They aren't supposed to emulate cannabis, so you wont get the same kind of high. Best to stay off the topic around here

Mate, there was an issue of loads of batches of weed in the UK containing little pieces of glass in them - perhaps you were unfortunate enough to stumble across some of this.

My best advice is either find another dealer, or when you next buy from them, take a small amount and bite it. If it still 'clicks and crunches' just refuse to buy it.

I know what you mean man, it is very frustrating that things get cut/contaminated with all sorts of shit, but thats just the way it is these days - if there is money to be made in something, people are ruthless and will make as much money as possible whilst spending as little as possible.

Just the way it is and there is nothing we can do about it, so just smile it off! :thumbsup:

Also, I would suggest growing your own if you're up for a bit of learning (see the growing area on these boards). Don't bother with the legal buds - apparently some work, but as one of the mods said, it isn't cannabis and therefore will not give you the cannabis buzz....

Its not really hard to filter it. Just make the cannabutter with the grit weed, then when youre done making it pour it through a filter to get all the bits of weed and glass.

The butter is made!!! and solidifying as i type... oooo i cant wait!!!
Me and a buddy done it today. Made quite a smell, nice but a td pungunt.

Haven't had any grit weed round my parts (south east) for some time, although i have seen some dodgy stuff that didn't smoke like you mentioned. The only real solution is to grow yourself, or start being more selective about who you'r buying from.

Nothing you can do about it althought if you make butter it should be ok.

we had been clear of this crap for a good while, some premo buds actually!!
but the past few weeks have been AWFUL!

ANYHOO...
the butter is nice and solid, so ive just tried some.

well, i aint got a clue why this thread got moved, but whatever, i promised updates!
Mash's 'BAKED' potatoes were kick ass!!!!

i only used a little bit of the butter (about the size of one of them little packets from service stations).

i had a nice spliff after potatoes, sat back and waited for the ride!
and BOY what a ride, buzzin for hours!! a real happy/ old skool buzz too. yay

so, in conclusion:
if you get suckered into buying grit weed and cant take it back, turn it into some glorious non-grit butter. awesome!
