View Full Version : Water the rockwool?

Are ya suppose to water the rockwool...is so how often? Does it eventually erode away. Any help appreciated.

It depends what stage your plants are in and what kind of system you are using.. If you are using rockwool with clones and they have not rooted yet.. then you should keep the rockwool warm amd moist.... ideally the rockwool should not be sitting in water but if it you go away for a few days/2 weeks etc... and it is the only way you can keep it moist then do it....


if your plants are mature you don't want the stems to be wet... which means that you dont want the rockwool to be wet.... at least not wet all the time.. this will cause stem rought.. very bad..


Rockwool should not dissolve.... at least not any time in the plants life..

look at what happens to an overwatered clone in rockwool...and it couldnt be saved planting it in dry soiless mix either
