Hi, i have been growing for about a year or so now. Just recently i built myself a hydroponic garden, as the mess that was made in my flat and corridor brought attention to the neighbours. I have started growing the plants about 2 weeks ago and they are looking great:smokin:, but i have hit a problem. I am leaving on the 15th of december and not going to be back home untill 10th of Jan. So my question is: Is there any possible way of growing the plants without me being there? I have a timer on the light and the pump puts nutrients through every 20 mins. What i am afraid of is them growing to high and the light not being adjusted higher, so that they will burn and probabaly set my flat on fire too. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I'm on my first hydro grow, and it really ties me down .. now that the plant has finished vegging, I need to add about 2 quarts of topoff water per day, and daily pH testing ... definitely a good hobby for us boring people, lol

yea it really does require alot more attention, i test the ph daily and it seem to be fine every time, i only have to correct it by about +/- 0.2 every day, and top up the nutrients every 2 or 3 days. by the time i leave they will be at the eng of their veg growth, and will probably need more attention when flowering. Hmm i am faced with a difficult question, go skiing or stay at home and grow. one or the other really.

I have a large system 100 gal res. and use relayrunner to run my computer.
battery back up computer.
I only stay away for 3 weeks at a time no problems
1 lights automatic, input tell if they went on and if sun circle is going
2 pumps went on and filled
3 fans on and venting external
4 co2 on and rate of co2 in room
5 forced venting times and differential temps
6 room temps
7 resi. fill up automatic at time of night
8 resi, tank circulation pumps on, pre fert cycle 1 hr
Do not use automatic ph ,ppm as one small mistake , stuck valve they are toast, but if under fert and normal drinking water plants just slow down groth.
Pre computers was a bitch , with wall timmers. Now you plan out 1 or 2 years of harvest out with in a day or two , three.
