It depends - I'm a Rasta so most of the time when I smoke it's to medi but there are times where I just take a quick draw if I'm rushing. Candles, incents and oils just cover up the beautiful smell. Try smoking some nice grades and walking back into the room(like the Feebreeze commercial)-it's like a breath of FRESH AIR!!!

Though I'm not a fan of rap, I'll turn on Sean Paul's "We'll be Burning" because it's about legalizing marijuana and it has a good beat. If I'm not in the mood for that, I use something that I enjoy or that mellows me out a bit. Feeling comfortable is the best way for me.

Then I'll dance to it for a little bit, just to get my blood flowing and lungs working. My bowl is already packed by this point and I usually sit down, light up, inhale and hold the first few hits for 5-8 seconds. After that, I don't hold in as long. Afterwards, it's always a trip to either my bed or couch until couchlock wears off. :jointsmile:

oh lets see..I'll usually call my tokebuddy over, and after we exchange the breaking news we sit on my couch and fire up the XBOX. After we decide which peice to toke out of (Natalia, Spyder, or the Obliterater) I'll pack a bowl, we'll argue for a bit over who gets green (or black if we're tokin res) and then one applies fingers lips and flame to the appropriate holes (lets hope we're talking about the same thing) and then we're off. we'll pass it for a while while playing video games and talking about stupid shit.
oh and this one time it was snowing so we pack the whole bong full of snow and toke...it was fuckin bomb.
and late at night I'll toke with the Madre`. We'll sit in her room and spark up her pip (rightfully named "Buddah" because its small round and gold) and toke while talking about life, love and spirituality.

I used to have little ritualistic type stuff id do before smoking if i was alone, stuff like kicking off the shoes and making sure i was comfortable and had some nag-champa going. If I'm with another person though it's just pack, light, draw, hold, exhale, repeat.
I hope i run into someone who has set rituals for smoking sometime, it would be. . . I dont know. . . quaint.

I come home, hang my ball cap on the hook by the door with my keys. Say hello to the kids ( my two cats) grunt at my girlfriend if she is home, kick off my shoes, get into some comfy clothes, wife beater and boxers most of the time, lock myself in the 5x5 bath room ( ok I don't know how big it is, it's small, I live in a studio apt) and plug in the first air cleaner, then the second, then turn on the exhaust fan, check my equipment, load it, spark it, toke it.

Then the REAL ritual comes...spraying enough room deodorizer to kill an elephant, spray my clothes with febreeze and pray the gf can't smell the smoke. But this never works because she is a human drug dog. She can smell a gnat fart in a hurricane at 500 yards and tell you what the gnat dined on 3 days ago. I'm telling ya, she has got a smeller on her that makes it almost impossible to enjoy the high. My poor lungs hate me because the ONLY way I can smoke and not get nagged is to use the gravity bong and it's named Lung Buster for a reason!

I usually walk right after taking a few pulls on the smoking device of choice, then head out for 1-2 mile stroll with my dog. I usually find myself drifting and walking funny then thinking about it and then trying not to walk funny and making it worse. All my neighbors are either police/fireman or some other gov while collar gig and its funny cause I feel safe and really enjoy my surroundings,, oh and music all kinds:thumbsup:

i live with a family member who made me swear not to smoke in the house, so... getting away with it is much like your little ritual, only i cannot afford to get caught, or "nagged" as you put it. high stakes, sometimes makes it more worth it, sometimes it puts me in a fuckin paranoid state that i've never been in.

First i grind up my weed and put it in my little wooden bowl. suck the bud up into my purple days stem, and pack it in a little bit. and then short few puffs, followed by a nice long deep inhale, hold for a few seconds, and let out a nice tasty cloud of vapor. and repeat till the bowl is vaped well. then load one up for my roommate and we will just sit around shooting the shit for a while or play some video games.

Go to store buy white owl NY, break down a FAT @$$ blunt, pack a bowl, and then roll up the remaining with the blunt. Then I turn on either a Cheech and Chong movie, or I listen to some psychadelic music(Floyd, Iron Butterfly) and some rock music(pearl jam, nirvana, STP[stone temple pilots]). I take out my nugs, hold them up to my nose and take a deep breath. I truly enjoy the scent of weed and smelling it just puts me in that "spot."

I put on some music, I usually hit random or shuffle on my playlist. I usually prefer music with a happy uplifiting vibe.

I then break up my nugs and pack them tightly into my bowl. I prefer pipes over any mechanism however it's not an exclusive thing. I enjoy other types of smoking devices as well.

I stretch a bit. Crack the back, the neck, stretch out the limbs and sit back in a comfortable chair.

As I put the pipe up to my mouth, right as I spark it, I say a little prayer.

As the weed hits me, as the music rhythmically takes me into a trance, I reflect on all that I'm thankful for. I do this especially if it has been a bad day.

I smoke some more until I eventually enter oblivion.
