Cleaning the Cooltube

My cooltube is filled with dust..... :(

What is the best method to clean it? End the light cycle 5 min. early to clean it? 5 min. Late?

Just make sure your plants are getting light while you are cleaning the cool tube and clean it anytime during the light cycle.
