Scenario: You're 22 and live in your parents basement. You desperately want to move out, it's feeling rediculous still living with your parents at this age.
You can't keep up in school because painkillers drain your cognitive energy. You can't go off the painkillers because the pain would be overwhelming.
You can't work because you're in too much pain to make it past a 3-4 hour day.
How do you move out, so you can finally start having a life?:wtf:

That is quite a predicament, but there must be a way.
My:twocents::
1) Try to find a different way to cope with or stop the "pain"(i.e. surgery, other medication).
2) Find a job that doesn't require manual labor. That way the pain will not affect you
3) Win the lottery.

Oh man, are you talking about you? 22 and living with your parents? Its not the end of the world. Try 30 and stuck living with your parents. You'll find a way out.

I'm 19 and at present, I am homeless!
So don't think you're a loser by any means, I spend my life sleeping on friends floors at the moment!
Sorry, didn't mean to make this about me. But yeah there must be a better solution to the pain? You'll find a way out eventually man, keep your chin up! :)

You could try to get a part-time job, that would only require you to work 3-4 hours a day, and try to get a roommate or two for an apartment and then your bills would not be quite as much. I am not sure what type of government assistance Canada offers with housing or disability, ect, but have you inquired about that?

Thats right...I know in America it could be possible to qualify for government assistance...As far as Canada, I would probably ask my doctor

All options have been exhausted. I'm already on the "other medications" alonside the ones I wish I didn't have to be on.

As long as I'm on my feet, it'll affect me and badly. If I go more than 3 hours not getting to lie down, same deal.

I know there are worse situations, but the end point is that I have to find a way out. I can't live like this forever; alone, broke, without a life.
As for government assistance, I don't qualify because technically I'm being "taken care of" by my parents; living in their house, eating their food and whatnot. I'd only qualify if I first lived on my own, then hurt myself; but I got this injury at the age of 16. On the other hand, there must be tons of people who were disabled as children, and surely they moved out at some point? Just wish I knew how because it doesn't seem the system is set up for me. Doctors have nothing to offer in the way of advice either, I've asked plenty.
Ah well, thanks for playing. This riddle's too complex for more than just me it seems.

Actually I quit smoking pot because now it makes my pain substantially worse. Weired, I know...

Haha, if only it were so simple as an 80's montage:thumbsup:. But I excercise anyway.
