well here it is, this is how it is setup for now. I was wondering when I should throw my plants into "bloom"?any certain height? Days of veg?anything specific? I am just a rookstar

i usually veg mine until they are around 2 feet tall. I guess the longer you veg and bigger they get the bigger the yield, but keep in mind they grow another 1/2 size of the plant in flower sometimes so make sure you got the space, which doesnt seem to be a problem here but you need a flower room cuz the 12 hours of dark no light should touch them

Your plants need to be closer to the lights, they're stretching. Unless the lights are too hot and burning them, in that case you need to invest in new lights...

Otherwise just keep an eye on light leaks and you'll be good.

i KNOW, i WOULD RATHER HAVE an HPS light or an MH, but $$$ dont just shoot outta my ass...lol...if it did, I would really get my fiber ;-)
but yeah they are 65w Flood Lights(they put out as much as a 500w incandescent/each and they were only $42/ea

7 plants and 4 being sprouted [if im counting correctly] when you goto flower your certainly gunna need more/powerful lights to get the girls proper lighting so start saving lol

I'd lose those floodlights, because they probably add considerable heat to the plants when kept close enough to make the plants grow. Excess heat will actually stifle growth. Replace with as many CFLs as you can afford and keep under control temperature-wise. More blue spectrum lights for vegetative growth, and more red spectrum for flowering.

When you can afford one, definitely step-up to HIDs. MH for veg, and HPS for flower if you can afford the setup. If you can only afford one, I'd go with an HPS. It works decent in veg, and great in flowering.

Is there any way you could close off a corner of this room? I'm suspecting it's gonna be a bit tough to flower these with no light leaks. Just a thought for the future.

Where can I buy Mylar? In california?

Just wanted to through something in on the CFL bulbs. Check out 1000bulbs.com, they have a really good line of CFL. They say 2 to 200 watt but I only saw up to 105 watt. They have 100 watt (supposed to be 500 watt incandesent equivalent) for about $21.00and $9.50 shipping. Shipping for more than 1 bulb is still $9.50, at least up to 4 bulbs if I remember right. I haven't gotten any yet but as soon as money allows I want to get some to try them out. I was thinking of doing a box for my mother using 10 bulbs. Two in each corner and two above but maybe smaller than 100 watts each. I'll make my own reflectors and mount them on some type of scissor set-up (that i'll make also)so that I can adjust them horizontally according to the size of the plant. I don't know, Looks good on paper. If anyone has trouble finding the site for the bulbs let me know and I will try to help. Have a great day. P.S. Where can I buy Mylar? In california?

Some Walmarts carry it. If not Walmart, Sports Chalet, Big 5 and places like that often have it. You want to look in the camping section for mylar emergency blankets. They usually cost under two bucks per blanket.

You can buy thicker mylar that is easier to work with at your hydro store, but since $$$ don't just shoot out of your ass, or any other orifice I would presume, the emergency blankets are probably cheaper.

Flat white paint is actually almost as reflective as mylar and has the added advantage of helping to dissipate heat. The mylar reflects all your heat back into your room; while white paint will allow your walls to absorb more of the heat and transfer it elsewhere. ...and, contrary to what your instincts will try to tell you, flat white IS more reflective than gloss white.

I've used and recommended 1000Bulbs in the past. They're a little slow in their processing/shipping department, but not unreasonably so and they do have a good election of bulbs at hard-to-beat prices - especially the larger cfl's.
