Am I crazy, or are there MANY members here who are obviously minors? What are the (posted) age requirements of this site?

And there is a poll asking if your parents know you smoke MJ, check out some of those responses.

Having parents in no way makes you under 18, theres plenty of people who are over 18 that live with their parents.

Do you live in this guy's home, do you know his parents, you dont know if he has very strict parents that would take his bong if they found it. You cant make that kind of accusation without any evidence to back it up.

yeah...im not a hater but sometimes i am surprised by the sheer cannabis ignorance of the youth these days. then again i was turned on in 4th grade. but i mean if you have to relay a situation you had to people on the internet and say "so did i get ripped off?" dude wtf.

or my fav. "im about to become a dealer how much should i sell an ounce for?" its like i wonder if its a joke. the fuck ever happened to common sense? but i SUPPORT any and all youth on this board-no matter what age you are-im all for talkin sh*t, smokin bud and crackin jokes. you are only young once, have the time of your life!!

Ditto. Except for me it was up until 4 months ago. Or has it been 5 now?

Anywhoo.. my parents threw away every piece of paraphernelia they ever found of mine. They knew I smoked when I lived with them, there was nothing they could do about that, but they told me not to bring it into their house.

Out of respect for them... I pretended not to :p and if they found out otherwise, I wouldnt get mad at them for tossin my shit.

Although they never did find out otherwise :D

I think it's a good thing kids come onto this site.
It allows them to get honest information related to Marijuana and not lies that they hear at school.

I still believe the majority of people are over 18.

What happened to the threads, started by minors, just a year or two ago, when cannabis.com didn't have an age-policy?

I didn't read the other posts in this topic, so I'm sure it's been said but...

1. The age limit is 18+.

2. Most kids don't read the rules, or they would just pretend to be 18. Lots of kids smoke bud, so it's no surprise that they frequent the board.

For those of us that have several decades of lifes experiences behind us, its painfully obvious which of the posters are children and which are responsible adults.

Generally, if a poster is asking questions about how much for this bud, or hiding pieces in mommy and daddy's house, how to roll a joint, or commenting on "what grade they are in", and such as that, its a real good bet that they are just another child.

Then there are those that tell of smoking 3 or 4 blunts, and/or smoking an 1/8 in an evening.........WTF??? What kind of lawn clippings are they smoking??
2 or 3 bong hits off decent bud will put *most* folks into couch lock, period. More than that and you will start hearing colors and seeing sounds.

Ok... all that being said, lets see who tries to tell me that I am full of crap.

A Question ?. What does it matter, for those who are under 18 as said above usually its Ov
that some folk are under 18 but nothing gets sold here so no laws broken. Im sure the policy is over 18's but how do you prove it?. Like i say i can t see the harm in it. Unless they dont go around disrepecting folk leave em alone we were all under 18 at some stage in our lives. Lets face it some 40 yr olds act like kids so what does it matter. All you'll find here is information noting more nothing less.

Respect and Peace Drought,, By the way im 32 before anybody starts,,lol....
I wish i was 17 again ,,,,,,

your complaining about me? Well I'm 20. Born on July 17, 1987. My father works at a department of the Belgian police. He hates "drugs", just like my mother. So it's obvious they try to hold me from smoking it. But I have me secret hiding places for my stuff. Just forgot to hide my bong one time when I wasn't at home.

Once again, I think my point was missed here. I do not believe kids should not be here, but they should not make it obvious they are kids (I'm sorry minors, like previously said some 40 yr olds are more of a kid than an average 16 yr old). They should however try to hide that fact they are minors, not flaunt it. Ya'll can argue and give me all the bad rep you want, you'll soon learn I am brutally honest with my thoughts and feelings, and cannot be swayed with out REAL proof I am wrong, then I will be the first to admit it. Don't like it? Then put me on ignore now, as I am me and I will never be duped. :hippy::rasta:

Grass Master, I think folks heard you clearly. As enjoyable as it is to receive your reassurance that you're you and can't be duped, you seem to be a bit behind the times on this discussion in the first place.

This site is open to membership for adults only (those 18 or older). These restrictions were put into place approximately four or five months ago, and we now work actively to block activity from under-age members. While in concept I suppose it's true that there are some 16-year-olds who are more grown up than those in their 40s, we have not found that the be the case here. If you see posts that indicate that they're written by members who're under the age of 18, please use the report-post feature so that we can research the situation and take appropriate action. We're realistic enough to know that just because we have the new age rule in place, we'll still have under-age members sneaking in, particularly as the season changes and people begin to spend more time inside.

Thanks for stepping in here Birdgirl. Finally someone else with some reason. One question though how can I be behind the times when I just got here, lol? I have no knowledge of what happened before I got here. I was reacting to the new posts I see in my surfing of the forum and becoming aquatinted.

So if then, why is it everyone ran in to BASH me? Did I hit a sore spot or something? I try to be as helpful as possible, and it my bluntness is taken the wrong way, so be it, but my point is made. :rasta::hippy:

for some reason this thread really is boring to me

birdgirl73
11-21-2007, 02:53 PM
Well, if you'd looked at our rules, which were sent to you when you applied for membership, and if you'd toured the site at all, you'd have seen that there was an age rule in place and also noticed that this discussion of under-age members as it relates to the age rule is all over the place and has been talked and retalked ad nauseam. So that's why I said you were a bit behind the times. It's always good policy before asking about whether there's a posted rule of some kind to have read any rules that exist.

I'm not at all sure that everyone ran in to "BASH" you, GrassMaster. When you posted your first comment in this thread. You'll notice that your original comment asked "Am I crazy, or . . . " You opened yourself up on that and got a number of facetious replies from members who are very familiar with our age restrictions. They were mostly kidding you, only that's hard to interpret when you can't see their faces or hear their tones of voice. They enjoyed affirming your question by letting you know "Yes, you are."

Take some time to get to know this place, and perhaps you won't find yourself feeling quite as defensive the next time people razz you. I'll reset your rules acceptance so you can review those, too.

Disclaimer: If this thread is boring to you, ignore it

Bird Girl- You speak of Facetious replies, well obviously my questions in the first post were also facetious, as I knew the answer to both. I was trying to figure out if this was an "ignored" issue here, without "doing research" on it. There are no PM's here so could not handle it discretely with a mod.
I was not speaking of those who called me crazy, they were halfway right, lol. I did not feel defensive over that, it was the people who were trying to make me look stupid pointing out something I knew was wrong in a joking type manner (if they took the time to know me before jumping they would know that). I know a polite "fuck you" when I see it, and most timees I will let it slide, or redirect.
Again, How am I to know what happened before I got here? I have been here less than a week, and have not read even 5% of the info here.
Review my posts and you will see I am a nice guy, who tries to help anyone any way I can, just not good at mincing words. If I see something outta place or wrong, I will ty to help fix it. I Really enjoy helping people, that's why I too am a medical student at this time (I read your post in another thread). I am studying med admin w/ specialization in coding and billing, but I
am not sure what excatly I want to do with it yet. what are you taking?

I actually am starting to feel bored with this discussion myself, and I'm going to fix that by putting an end to the discussion after this post.

If you were being facetious yourself, then you might have expected the replies you received. Something about your whole argument here doesn't hold water, but I haven't the interest to pursue it any further. The reason we might expect someone to know some history regarding this site and its rules is because we send the rules out with the membership acceptance link and because our most successful new members take a moment to peruse the boards and familiarize themselves with the central topics of discussion before they begin posting their own threads (again, at least the successful ones do this).

I've never before heard anyone refer to that field of medical administration/coding-billing study as being a "medical student." I'm in the second year of training to be an M.D. My courses include pathology, pharmacology, medical microbiology and principles and practices of medicine. I'll be abandoning this discussion now in order to go take my last pre-holiday lab practical in medical microbiology.
