It is time to rate yourself between 1-10 of how smart you are, with 10 being the smartest mofo in the world:bonghit:

I'd say I am somewhere around a 7.5

My cerebral superiority can not be delineated into a simple 1-10 scale.

But if I was to attempt to make a close transliteration, I would put myself somewhere in the upper hundred-thousands. Possibly in the millions, but I try to stay humble.

Intelligence really can't be put on a single-track "IQ". There are many types of intelligence, I think it's all a matter of where your brainpower is more focused. In me case, for instance:

Writing/Linguistic Intelligence: 8-9
Critical thinking: 8-9
Social Intelligence: 3
Math Intelligence: 5-6
Problem Solvling: 6-7
Memory: 8
Whiver part figures out Riddles: 4

Well i dont know how to do a scale of 1-10
I have good days and bad days.
When i am sober, a good 8. When im smokin heady pot, a solid 9.
My IQ on an internet test was 138 and on a real test was 153.
Yippee!

Personally I think intelligence is tied to confidence. When I feel intelligent I can figure out some very difficult things. When I feel stupid I find myself much less capable. It really depends

back when i was 14 or so, before i did 'some stupid things' it would have easily been 8.5....

these days, i'd say 7 or so... still fairly inteligent, as in the knowledge is there, but i can't use alot of it cuz i have like a 0 attention span now and my mind often goes blank in the middle of problem working...

I think I hover somewhere between 8 - 8.75 on a good day. I'm sharper on days when I've exercised and when I'm well rested. If I'm sleep deprived, it drops below 7, and that's not good for anyone, especially not someone trying to make it through medical school. That's booksmarts/general knowledge. I think I have better emotional/social intelligence than I do scholastic/general.

I deleted this first line about 6 times in a concerted effort to remain civil, and avoid insult.. here goes lucky number 7:

I pity you if you think 153 is a rediculously high IQ. I am not saying it is insignificant, for it is above genius level, but just barely. I myself scored a 149 on an IQ test I took when I was 9 years old in the fourth grade. I have personally met MENSA members with IQs in the 2 and 300's. I am not sure what information you base your opinion on, but it is misguided. I am not trying to be mean, and for all I know, you could be right, and he could be lying.

But that still doesnt take away from the fact that 153 does not, in any way, qualify as being rediculously high. High, and even impressively high... but not, by any means, rediculously so.

I'm not a genius but I do know how to spell, and you did spell ridiculous incorrect. However, I hardly ever use punctuation in forum postings. As far as IQ testing at age 9 and having a score of 149 I have no knowledge about early testing. I now forgot what the hell this topic was about, dammit MJ

You just made yourself sound like a right dick !
The grammatical errors are appalling, and by the looks'(incorrect usage of apostrophe) of it; your comma key must be stuck.
149 on an IQ test when you were 9?? Me-thinks' not, helmet head; you cant even spell ridiculous(there should be no space between the last word of a sentence, and the following punctuation mark)!

There ya go!

Absolutely correct. I happened to misspell "ridiculous." A recurring error of mine, and one that I dont lose any sleep over. I also happened to misspell "misspell." In a spelling bee. Ironic, I know.

Either our countries have two TOTALLY different laws of grammar, or your post was just as erroneous as mine, if not more so. Regardless, I was not lying about my IQ test.. that would be quite the waste of time, wouldnt it?

Either way, you dont belong in this argument, but I suppose you are more than welcome to stuff your other foot in your mouth if there is room.

lol I spell that word wrong regularly, so Im not sweating it. My grammar and punctuation in internet forums vary depending on my mood. Sometimes I am feeling rather extravagantly eloquent, and I want to express myself precisely. Other times I am just trying to convey a simple message. Thats the beauty of the internet. Oh, and I almost never use an apostrophe in forum postings.

The 149 is no lie or exaggeration, however I wouldnt put too much stock into it. Intelligence Quotient is just another exerpt in Homo Sapiens' vain quest to compare himself with others of his kind. I have seen brilliant people who scored low on the tests, and morons who scored above genius level.

This is a funny thread, very interesting, in fact. You can't get an accurate answer for this, though... the ego gets in the way. Nobody is going to say they are on average a 5 or lower, unless they're joking. Most people would rather believe that they are very intelligent.
So I'm actually going to refrain myself from giving myself a rating, as I know my ego will cause it to be inaccurate. However, most of the people here I would say are above average in intelligence.

Also, intelligence can be broken down into different types, as I understand. Not everyone is mathematically intelligent, street smart, historically adept, etc. Though most people have a very intelligent side to them. Some are even lucky enough to be smart on most, if not all, levels of intelligence. This is one reason why the IQ test fails at giving any accurate reading of intelligence beyond the spectrum of "logic."

That's my two cents.

11-21-2007, 12:42 PM
So far, this has just made me laugh.......

I will give an estimation of 8, since 5 would be average, and I think I am above average, but by no means, a 10.

We always took CAT tests in school (1st-5th grade). Middle school we had writing tests, and high school the SAT's. I don't think I have ever taken a "real" IQ test, but have scored well on internet ones.

There are many types of "intelligence". I always have enjoyed reading, and have always performed better in language areas of testing versus math.

Oh absolutely.. and I will even agree that Queens English really is the correct version, even though I practice American. I know about the many of the small spelling differences, namely the use of 's' instead of 'z' at the end of many words, also, the use of an 's' instead of a soft 'c' in other instances.

I also agree that IQ tests dont mean shit, which I stated earlier.

I love how no one believes they are a 5 or below. I believe they use the bell shaped curve when it comes to intelligence. So statistically over half of us are about 5 or below.

As for the question, I used to think of myself as a solid 9 then I got a little older and realized I was probably only an eight. Then I got even older and now I think I'm probably around a 7 but I could be completely wrong.

Some people are only as smart as Wikipedia is. Ha Ha Ha! Some have developed their critical thinking skills. So they might be smarter than a "10". People who drive their silver cars in the fog, without headlights on, are the dumbest pieces of shit on the planet, and they deserve to die. Just like the people driving silver cars in the fog, who get blindsided by people driving silver cars. They deserve it. Learn to think for yourself and you will be fine.

And yes, I hate silver cars! Because they represent the inability (to me) to think for one's self.

"That's what I like about you", from the 80's, is popular because it sounds like a chinese-guy sings it.
