And its fantastic!

So to give you an idea of where I'm coming from. For the last 5 years or so (give or take 6 months into the past) I was involved with this girl that treated me like complete shit. All I ever did was try to fix stuff up with her but it was never good enough. Then I caught her in bed with another guy and everything just kinda clicked into place and I realized that she wasn't doing anything but hurting me. I promptly thanked her and her male companion for opening my eyes and told her that I was through trying to make it work when she had never been trying herself.

So after that I took about a 6 month break from even looking at a woman and thinking of anything that went beyong being platonic. A few days ago I met this girl while hanging out with a friend at a coffee shop. We got to talking and we seemed to have alot in common, so we exchange instant messanger names so we can keep chatting. I didn't expect to fall in like with this girl or anything was just expecting another cool friend of the female gender (yes fall in like, falling in love in a few days is just silly in my opinion). Over the last few days as we've been talking its been more and more apparent that we really like each other, as we have tons of stuff in common including values, what we look for in another person, senses of humor, the list could go on for a while. So we've decided to start dating and I have to say I haven't grinned from ear to ear EVER till I met this girl. After being in an abusive relationship it's just so fucking amazing to feel appreciated and liked, I haven't been able to stop grinning since she went to bed earlier. SUCH A GOOD FEELING!

I guess I just wanted to share my joy with everyone!

Congrats, Gundari! Savor that feeling--best thing in the world, being in love, or even "like" if it's the right one.

Dude, I'm happy as hell for you....I know how you feel man my past relationship was abusive too......lasted for two years and after tons of lies and pain later she ended up cheating on me too....I've been devastated for the past year of being single and cant seem to get over it but stories like this give me some hope....

I was about to post.

Clint Eastwood just blew my mind.

Thanks, High Plains...

And, good luck with the relationship!

By the way, that's been my favorite movie since I was younger (High Plains Drifter).
