Finally got a real bubble making machine. It is soooo nice and quiet compared to most of the other littler ones I have. I donā??t know how much difference it makes, but it comes with a plastic tray designed to reduce vibration and noise. Havenā??t tried it without the tray yet.

Check it out. Bubbles galore. Now thatā??s how 2 6ā? air stones and 4 small air stones ought to look when they are supplied with air from 1/3 of an air pumps nozzles. You can barely see the 6ā? stone in 4ā? deep water. Iā??ve had her up and running since I started my LSTTT grow, which is on day 20 now. Absolutely no complaints as of now. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. If I add up all the money I wasted on the loud and shoddy 1,2, and 6 nozzle pumps, I probably could have bought 3 of these. I am hoping that one of these will run 16 small air stones when I get my remodel done. Weā??ll see.

I highly recommend picking one up if you are planning any kind of bubbling soon, or want to change crappy bubbling for good strong bubbling. Iā??m not sure where you find them, but probably where they sell pumps for ponds, since thatā??s actually what this is for. I got mine in a hydro store and paid too much Iā??m sure. They only had one, and I think it was $115. Iā??ve never seen anything like it in a hydro or garden store before or since.

40 watts turtle, they have bigger ones too!

Nice find Treetops, that should explain most everything about the pump. Lots of other cool stuff at that site too.

update:

The pump has been running non stop for about 6 months without a decrease in air flow or an increase in noise.

check these out:

Aquarium Air Pumps: Hydor Ario Turbo Air Pump (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3669+12216&pcatid=12216)

i use the ario 4 w/out a light. cheap, quiet, reliable. they put out tons of air, and help keep water circulating and nutrients suspended in the water. i have yet to find anything better.

That Ario pump looks interesting too. Ive never seen anything like that. I wonder if it would cause the water temp to increase.
The Pondmaster pumps are suppose to be very good quiet pumps. I have one coming next week. A site called Aquaticponds.com sells them for 92 dollars with free shipping.

Hey Justanotherbozo: I wish I would of seen that pump you listed first. I would of considered getting it. It looks like good quality and a decent price too.
