new to the game

this is my first grow i have been reading and reading and reading i think im ready my seeds should be in tomorrow and thought i start my log
i have a grow room 3'6"wide 7'7"long and 6'3"tall with a 400hps its in my 10by10 shed i have a little veg area inside my grow room with 2 40 watt cfl
100cfm fan with a carbon filter
im going to flower 6 plants under the 400 using the hempy bucket
(perlite and vermicilte) my ferts DNF 2 parts
my seeds are oasis feminized i got this strain because it is resisited
to spider mites those fuckin things scare me shitless
once i get things growing i will put some pictures in my log

Are you trying to light more than 20 sq.ft. with a 400w HPS? If so, that would seemingly be way too little light. But the 6 plants thing sounds right... unless they really cover that much space....

ok with the dimensions you provided you have a total of 26.5 square feet(floor space) for your grow area. but since your only doing 6 plants at a time you should be ok.

why such a big space if your not using it all? ideally you want 50watts+ per sqaure foot during flower and 30-40watts for veg. you might want to block off some of the extra space when you flower to maximize light on plants.

does the room have mylar or white walls to reflect light?

im starting with 6 plants for now any advice i get im taking it in for future grows but for now i see where 6 plants gets me (yields etc.)its kind of tight with the width only being 3'6" i hope to have some pics up of the room soon but all my time is in fine tuning my room right now (noise and light) and avoiding my neighbor
mylar is almost all up
still waiting on seeds another day hopefully

:smokin:well im on my way i recieved 10 femised seeds(oasis)but my buddy mailed them to me in a plastic bag not good 5 seeds looked damaged so i tried to germate week and a half later nothing so took one good seed 24hrs later it cracked and was in soil perfect!!! i plan on cloneing 7 or8
