You talk to almost anyone and they say the internet is full of liars and people under the guise of anonymity potraying whoever they want..with this board I do not feel that at all..I believe this board to have a smaller percentage of liars then the internet/general population. I would say the reason why is because this is a safe place to be just you/me....what do you think?

i think there a high number of liars on these boards too.
especially those who claim their nugs are dank. or they got a large amount for a cheap price. its usually those who exaggerate or try to be better than everyone else who lie. and i think there are a large number of those on these boards once in a while.

WOW! That is a lot more doubt than I had imagined..I dont know, for me, reading the regular posters post on here..I feel that they are telling the truth..I can usually always tell when people are bullshitting..

I believe first there is less bullshitters and liers on here because they took the effort to not only go on a computer and internet, but a cannabis forum.
I cant think of much sadder then an adult on here that is over 20 which lies in his posts and stuff.
I can imagine some 13-15 yrs might lie, but like you said its pretty easy to tell.

For the most part i enjoy how people just kinda tell it how they see it here.:rastasmoke:

I think the same rules apply for a forum post than in real life, all you can do is assume its true, cause even in everyday life people lie. I can honestly say that I dont feel the need to lie or feign intrest in anything I give my POV on. as far as I can remember, I dont believe I've lied bout anything i've posted on here. also, Like Geo said, its easy to sniff out the bullshit, and spot the inconsistencies in people who lie's posts..

I think if someone feels the need to lie on an anonymous internet forum, where no one would have anyway of finding out the truth from lies, is sick, or slightly disturbed.

I dont really bullshit people, thats just not me, the words i type on here are pretty much the way I am in real life too, and I make an effort to stay true to myself at all times even when posting here... With a lot of the regular posters I think you can pick up on personality and charachter, expecially by the sense of humor they show, their sympathy they give in more serious threads, and how they handle themselves on line in general.

Given that, most of you guys on here are pretty damn cool, and I'd love to sit and have a bowl and share thoughts and stories with a good lot of you. :thumbsup:

i can't judge their character so much as i can get a feeling for the type of person they are.... actually other then the lying, you can find out who someone is even easier through a computer then person.... people let their guards down over computers (for the most part) in person people are more gaurded, more inclined to hide parts of their personality in fear of rejection....

most people don't care if they do something you don't like over the computer, however... so you can get a better image at who they really are...

I hope that most of the posters on this board are true to themselves .Theres no need to pretend to be some one you're not.We all have some thing in common or we would not be here.Im true to my real character and I believe that Geo is too. Like you said Geo you can usually tell when some one is bullshitting.

I can understand underage people here lying; trying to impress each other and the "older" ones. But I think for the most part, the regular posters are honest, what reason would they have to not be? Unless you put something in your contact info to let people know who you are, why bother? Maybe I'm just too trusting...

The regular posters here seem to be a really sincere and caring crowd. The positivity and supportiveness of the advice given here is IMHO unique among forums.
I'd venture to say that the people who stick around here for a while because they appreciate the style and mood of the place do so because they see a good fit with their own supportive character.
It's great to be here anyway.

i think for the most part people are honest here. as far as judging their character, after a few posts you can get an idea of how they/we are in life but everybody has a bad day sometimes.

Good Post! The thought of people posting lies has crossed my mind, but I never thought too deeply about it. I do get the impression that some people on here embellish the truth a little, and I am not sure that almost all the bud on here is a "namebrand strain", but I don't know for sure. I just try to take it for what it is. As others have said, I think that most of the regulars are genuine. I see it as smoking kind of give everyone a on here a sense of kinship that many boards don't have.

i think that you could tell what kind of person they are like if they keep trying to make people on this site feel small or something then there probably just penises in real life but then again you might not be able to tell what kind of person they are because they might sit on this sight disrespecting everyone but then when you meet them there all scared and stuff

they begin the same ~ adolescent boy, face lit by the computer screen glow, clickety clack of a keyboard fades into the background as the voice over begins. "this is the sound of studying geography", cue keyboard again, "and this is the sound of discovering pornography" clickety clack clack,

the original follows with "do you know what your children are upto?"

the hack ends with "so go on guys, it's not like your mum's going to know the difference"

And it's really none of my business if people lie or are truthful in what they say. If they lie constantly or obviously, then I expect they are probably trying to fulfil some need that is unmet in their reality. I pity people who have to lie because they are so unsatisfied with the truth :hippy:

I have to giggle a little at the ones that talk very big, but gee, never seem to be able to get a camera... or can't work out how to upload pics of their fabulous grows.

its sad i dont understand why people lie, in the end it is only detriment you your own mental health and well being.

if you cant be honest on a board where there are absolutely no repocussions and very little judgement, then you are a little screwed in the real world.

but maybe it is the being screwed in the real world that resorts people to lying on a message board.

I think you can judge someone's character to an extent, I've only met one person from this website and you can pretty much know someone through text, but there's a lot more to an individual than what they say on the internet..

I think this forum is great..everyone seems a lot more open than in other forums. I wont name any other forums but the majority I know of are home to people who sit there all day and flame each other...or make funny photoshops to insult each other. We seem like the normal ones....

You can judge my character pretty easily.... <---notice the strings fullstops I always use....Im laid back, very quiet except to people I care about making an impression to....Actually this is a lie..im really the devil! :rasta:

i think there might be a couple who embelish and stuff, but i dont think theres alot of liars. i have never told a lie on this board.

BUT

i am not completely honest. if i have a bummer day which happens every now and then or when i ran out of weed very briefly a couple days ago. i just dont say anything about it. or maybe i was supposed to get laid and i ended up getting blown. blown off i mean.

i definetely agree about people shouldnt say they have the dank if they dont. fronting will get you no where with me. props to all the people that dont have weed or smoke mids. BE PROUD...your word IS what you go by.
