After Meps?

I've got a question for all of you who have once joined the army. After the trip to meps, do they do another drug test before you go to boot camp? Thx.

yeah they do one when you go back to meps right before you ship out and then they test you randomly throughout you career.

My GF's brother just got dishonorably discharged from the Marines for testing positive for pot in his random piss test that he got the day he got back from Iraq.

They do test, my friends in the Army have been tested pretty often, and it is random, so some people will end up tested while others wont each time.

Yep, going in and until you leave it, the military will randomly test you. Why take a chance. Quit smoking.

I know you can get discharged for popping on tests..but it would not be a dishonorable discharge...probably the worse you could get would be -an other than honorable discharge..

but to the OP..dont chance it brother...you have signed over your life..now fulfill your obligation..have fun.

He popped positive at the random, was sent to the brig. He was allowed one day to do some stuff outside the brig, and when he returned they tested him again, and he tested with even more showing up in his system.

He was discharged with a dishonorable, which fucked him and his family over since he was the only source of income and they just had a kid, and lost their insurance and everything. Needless to say, the family wasnt happy with him.
