Critique my room!

I'm getting ready to start up my first project, probably gonna turn on the light switch Jan 1st, 2008. I'd really like everyone to critique my room idea here.

I'm using a basement closet I have. The closet measures 76" Wide x 24" Deep x 87" High. There is a shelf.
Below Shelf measures 76" W x 24" D x 65" H.
Shelf measures 76" W x 11 1/2" D x 18" H.

Below the shelf, I'm gonna grow in 5 gallon buckets which measure 12" in diameter. I'm gonna start 8 buckets, 4 of Serious Seeds White Russian (AK47 x White Widow) and 4 of Sagamartha Blue Thunder (Blueberry x Matanuska Tundra) underneath a 1000w and 400w Eye Hortilux Blue MH. After 1 month I will move the best plant of each strain, making a wall of mylar, keeping equidistance between all plants. The 2 mothers will then sit in there own section underneath the 400w Eye Hortilux Blue MH while the other side will have the other 6 plants flowering underneath a 1000w Eye Hortilux Super HPS.

Then after another month I will harvest my flowerers and use the mothers to start clones on the shelf above the plants, underneath 4 Blue CFL grow bulbs.

I made a sweet drawing, to scale. 1" in my drawing = 4" in the room. Tell me how it looks. If it looks a tad skewed and not centered, its because photoshop made 12 = 11.995 for some reason I don't know. The black line represents the mylar wall.

Please critique how it looks, slander me at all possible. I'm looking for opinions, positive and negative, that is gonna allow me to have it nice and proper when it starts. All input is appreciated.

sounds like a good idea...what are you gonna use for ventilation?

I agree with Hydro. Having 1400 watts of lights in there, you're going to need to keep it well ventilated. Set up both of the lights in there, leave it running for a few hours with what ventilation you have now, and see what the temps get to. Decide where you need to go from there. Try to keep temps in the mid-70s.

If you'll be flowering and vegging in the same closet, you also need to make sure that each chamber is sealed completely so that no light can penetrate into the flowering side after the HPS lights are out. You don't want any light leaks at all.

Before I germinate anything I was gonna run everything and find out how much venting I need. I can cut a hole through the back right of the closet and it will vent into under the stairs in another room. It is very much possible I won't need any venting or minimal with the cold ass temperatures we are already getting here but I will find out for sure!

Think it'd be better to move mothers to another place and run like 8 plants under just the 1000w HPS in flowering? I've got an old giant filing cabinet that could probably be gutted and facilitate 2 moms.
