OK please don't get angry with me, I'm very, very ignorant about cannabis.

I'm trying to figure out how to roll my weed but the tutorial thread confuses me....

Can't you just put the weed in some filter paper and then smoke it? Do you need tobacco or anything else?

If you need tobacco, where do you get it from? Do you buy a cigarette and just rip it open or something? WHAT THE HELL!? I'm so confused :(

I dont know how to roll myself, but i do know that you do not need tobbaco. Just some rolling papers and your green, dont even really need to make a filter.

Hahaha! Anyways, a nug is slang for a "nugget" of cannabis, as you know it. A king paper is just larger than normal.
1) go buy Zig-Zags. They're a brand-name rolling paper sold just about anywhere tobacco is sold.

2) if you have cannabis, break it up so that it is about the same consistency of tobacco (almost)

3) lay it out in a line in the center of a single paper, lengthwise, gummy strip facing you @ top.

4) attempt to put the bottom edge underneath the gummy side, snug, but not so tight you rip the paper.

5) get it as cylindrical as possible, lick the gum, and adhere to the outside of your cylinder.

6) should resemble a cigarette now, maybe vaguely.

7) light one end, enjoy, and try again.

heres what ya do. go and get a pack of rizla or zigzag. get a gram of weed. cruble/grind weed and put it in folded zone of paper.

follow rolling tuts that are all over internet.

filters dont need to be in, but theyre made by folding a strip of paper back and forth than rolling that shape into a sylindery thing and puttin in joint

Don't listen to these guys. I've been rolling perfect jays for years, self-taught. It really isn't hard. There are no excuses as to why one cannot roll a joint. You're 18? Rolling a joint is a PREREQUISITE for college ;) You can roll with anything, any time, with any kind of weed. You can roll them into Y s, to look like a tulip, or a trident. It's all about your imagination and capacity to learn new tasks. Peace.

I have an easy roller I got from the local head shop, I put the weed inside of the roller and pack it. then i put a filter on the end. Then I roll it and put a paper in. It's really easy, and it gives you nice packed joints. No tobacco just Chron

And while you are learning, get yourself a nice little glass "one hitter" pipe, or other store-bought small pipe, or even one of those mini corn cob pipes (harsh at first, but later, a great toke)! If you're at all creative, you can make a pipe. Plumbing hardware, a hardwood branch and a drill, some low fire clay- get inspired! (one definition of inspire is "to breathe in"! lol) I've made several pipes, it's not THAT hard!

There will be days when you need a hit, but your joints just won't work for some reason - too loose, too tight, pot too damp, whatever. And you can always run out of papers, but if you have a pipe, you have your back-up method. Pipes work.

Also, when you can afford it, get a vaporizer! You need less grass and it is MUCH kinder to the lungs. It smells way less, too. - Granny:hippy:

Not such a dumb question, look at all the advice he got. Use a razor blade to cut your weed into long strips by chopping down on a hard surface. Long strips burn better than tiny clumps. Leave at least 1/2 inch margin on each end. Pipes are easier and less wasted if you put only one toke in the bowl at a time.

That's a good idea...I'd thought about it, but figured tobacco was prepared that way because of its consistency and never tried it with pot:jointsmile:. What about yer stems? don't they fuck up your spliff?

You don't NEED tobacco. You can use it though, and it comes for a cigarette, or a cigar. They also sell bags of smoking tobacco at some places..

I remove all the larger stems. When I roll a little jay, I use only buds that I split into long strips with a razor blade. Funny it took me 35 years to realize that would help. Haha.:jointsmile:
