I love my country and hate watching it slowly die becaue of the apathy from the american people.. Nobody even cares to be informed on the issues, and if they do, chances are they are getting the wrong information... what are we going to do???
Did anyone really expect anything else? When you look at it, there's almost never a good reason to go to war. War nowadays are pretty much the same as they were back in the medieval days, except that the technology has changed. It's imperialism. Anyone who can't see this is obviously blind...
I'm really tired of people who try to say that we "should" go to war with certain countries, like Iran. If it's the last and only viable option, then I believe maybe war should be considered.
I hope, some day, humans will evolve past the concept of war, greed, and power.

I don't see how this is rightly fit for conspiracy over politics..especially considering this is a first hand account on how things are/were...This is no conspiracy, this is TRUTH.

So how many times was 9-11 mentioned? IF this dude has a vid that avoids that then fine.

I heard something on the radio today, some caller was saying that soldiers on duty in Iraq are having to buy their own boots. I don't know if that's true, but I wouldn't be surprised. BTW I haven't watched this video yet so I can't comment on its legitimacy, I just thought I mention this.

He was referring to 9/11 as the precursor to war...not implying that the government was in any way involved in portraying it, simply stating that it created escalation of the situation..
You don't seem to have much to say about it, just curious if you care so much about helping the people in Iraq why you don't seem bothered by this...After all the reason we're there is to 'help' them, right? Helping them isn't killing a crowd of innocent people because of one person with a gun.

I didn't put very much faith in anything this dude had to say. SURE, our mission was to gun down civilians. That's why there are service people doing time today for acting like that. He's basically talking a line of shit in order to get a stage.
By the way, I know exactly what he meant........no need for discussion.

An example:
Today she is home again, cooking by a sunlit window, sleeping beneath her favorite wedding picture. And yet, she and her family are remarkably alone. The half-dozen other apartments in her building echo with emptiness and, on most days, Iraqi soldiers are the only neighbors she sees.
Baghdad’s Weary Start to Exhale as Security Improves - New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/20/world/middleeast/20surge.html?ei=5065&en=7e7d43064c067b63&ex=1196226000&partner=MYWAY&pagewanted=print)
Didn't he state that every apartment building in Bagdad was destroyed?

I think he was referring to the initial invasion and entry into Iraq, hence the whole he deserted because he didn't believe in going back to fight for the lost cause...
I'm sure things have been reconstructed now...$80 million a day to Iraq I'm sure they've rebuilt all sorts of things by now. I think if things were legitimate he would've stayed in the military, it sounded to me like the only reason he went is because he needed money. Also, I don't think the military desertion rate would be the highest it ever has been if these soldiers were fighting a 'just' cause..whatever that may be.
And when you have so many young individuals like me who would love to defend my country, and my freedom if it so happens that our shores are invaded; however going to Iraq due to a draft will be the LAST thing that I do. I will move to canada and live illegally for the rest of my life if I have to, but I will not go into Iraq, ever. Because that has absolutely nothing with defending my country and defending my freedom. Those fuckers don't have the capability to invade our country, so I don't know why the fuck we're worried about that...That's a threat that can be stopped, we cannot stop them from having friends at airports and smuggling things onto airplanes, and us teaching them to fly in america.
