How to aircool 2 HPS 1000WATT Lights [Archive] - Green Grass Forums

I was wondering if someone could help me with this question. Is it possible to air cool 2 HPS lamps, a couple feet away from eachother with 1 inline fan (Hurricane for example). Both lamps have the 4inch ducting slots and the fan of course is made for 4 inch ducting.
What im really wondering is if it would be better to buy 2 fans, 1 for each lamp, or maybe one powerful enough to effectively cool both bulbs and ultimatley my growroom.

I would go with 2 separate fans. The 4" ductwork is really what makes it difficult for one fan to move enough air to cool 2 1000w lights. If they were 6" or 8" ducting, then I'd say one would suffice.
