Ok, my plants are about 3 weeks old. I started LST 1 week ago when i completely laid down all of the plants, making sure to keep the main stem tops under all of the below nodes in order to re-distibute auxins. The plants have started to develop grow tips at almost every node now.

I heard that the main stem top only needs to be under the rest of the nodes for 1 week to properly re-dist. auxins then it can be allowed to continue growth upward. Is this correct?? should i be able to let the main stem top resume growth upward soon, while still keeping the plant laid down obviously??

Also another thing i wanted to clear up befor i got there is how i control fan leaves and side shoots when they start getting more vigerous. I was thinking of twisty tying the big fan leaves out of the way of the new growth tips, then tying the growth tips to empty parts of the pot and eventually staking the larger ones so they can grow strong and have enough room to fully develop.. I need to know if that sounds like a legit LST program as i have read alot about the tech., but have never actually had any experience with????

Anyone who is interested there are some pics of my LST'd plants in my gro log which is in my signature, called 2nd grow. Thanks to all in advance.

I didn't see any pics of your LST. just your sprouts. I have been doing LST on my plants since week 2. As for letting the top go I have kept mine tied down as it grows along the outside edge of the buckets. Then LST the new branches as they grow keeping the canopy at a nice even 6" untill the cabinet is full horizotally. then I am letting them grow vertically till 12" to 16" high then induce flowering. my veg is 5 to 6 weeks.
I have 15 plants in a 4'x4' cabinet from seed and plan on growing 7 to 8 flowering trees.

Im sorry Jerry, go back to my grow log, and go to the end, it has my plants as of current, they r still only 2 weeks so they r still kinda small. I have 6 in my 4' x 2' closet. I started with 8, but 2 already showed male flowers, so now we r at 6. I have the males still alive, just in my bedroom, im trying to stress them out so bad, light wise that they go hermie and maybee i can manage to produce a bud site of feminized seeds on one of the girlies.

I dont think a male can go hermie...but i could totally be wrong.

To answer you auxins question. those hormones always travel up. What ever node is the highest will contain more auxins than the rest. Keeping them on a flat plane would be ideal for the hormones but not for the light source. In the end I always have one thats about an inch above the rest and consequently larger than the rest. I try to make that one the main branch since it already has the most meat(stem thickness).

well i am for sure tossing the males in the alley tomorow then. Maybee i'll look up the males becoming hermies actually since ur not really sure.

Yea, I heard that the more kolas u have the smaller they all are, so i was aiming for maybe 5 or 6 kolas and like u said i was goin to aim for the main stem top being the main kola. If i can have my whole canopy within an inch either way i will be extatic.
