Yes, a few have made these including myself. I use a smaller bucket with a computer fan. ONA is pretty strong so it takes some "mixing" to get just right, but hell yea this works like you would not believe.
It does not really remove the smell like scrubber, it neutralizes it by bonding with the "smell". It does not mask the smell like those plug-ins.

Fantastic anwser growbe ^^.
Now i just need to find some ONA and soil moist.
Think that you could replace ONA with frebreeze possibly?

Frabreeze will only mask it and will not last very long. But all of this depends on the size of your grow.I bought both through amazon.
You can find products at home depot that also neutralizes smells. They come in a plastic jar and contains a block that smells like oranges. This works okay as well. Get a couple and throw them in your room if it is a small grow.

i made one, and wasnt really happy.
was a pain to get the mix right and wore off fairly quick.
with the cost of the pellets figured, i think the home brew carbon scrubber will be a better value for the dollar.
there's a link somewhere around here.
my 2 cents.

Aye my grow rooms real small...like 1 plant small. So far odor hasnt really even been an issue, I'm just attempting to prepare for something that i THINK is coming.

Try the blocks first and see where that gets ya. They are very cheap, so if it does not work then you can always put it out in the house.
