The girl looks very fine to me BUT it honestly doesnt look like Northern Lights. I have grown NL many a time and it is a mostly Indica strain. Your plant has pencil thin leaves which is a Sativa. Indica leaves are dark green and very broad. You mention that you have around 30 bud sites. I would say all are about 1" from each other which means the plant is at least 30" long. Almost all Indicas I have grown wouldnt reach 30" in the full life cycle never in the 2nd or 3rd week of flowering which also shows a sativa strain. You sure this wasnt just a bagseed from some weed you bought. If you were told they were NL then I think you were dupped, hope the seeds were free. Anyways just grow them to get the max buds, Good Luck...Peace MrP.

Very good observation. The leaves are the main give-away.

Northern Lights is mostly an Indica strain. You would have much broader leaves, again yours are pencil thin which I would say is 100% sativa. The plant you have looks to be a 100% sativa to me anyways.
Changing the light cycle will not bring out the sativa in her. The sativa is already there. Changing the light cycle in the middle of the flowering stage will most likly just force her to turn hermie.
You didnt mention where you got the seeds from??? Was it from a bag of compressed bag weed. Hope you didnt pay more because someone said it was Northern Lights. Peace...MrP.

Yeah, you can't change a plants genetics, unless you where a scientist that studied cannabis, with a lab at your disposal. Even with that, it is still very hard to change a plants genetics.

my 1 plant is a n-lights 2X5.....and it had wider indica leaves but i pruned them.....and facts are:13light 11dark or more light is for flowering indicas...and 12/12 or 13 dark 11light blooms sativa.....so unless you have a perfect purebread strain then you have a indica/sativa mix yourself and should sway it one way or the other-----look now at my 1 plant
