my plants are in a place only accessible by power drill and its a real pain to get to them so would it be alright to leave the lights on constantly during vegetation?

Ide say this one will be mixed based on personal preference... I used to do 24/0 and it worked well. but some say 18/6 is better because it gives the plant some time to sleep. some say 18/6 is better because it gives the plant a chance to respire without the stress of photosynthesis at the same time. But great results have been had with 24/0 lights, plus it will grow a little faster I've noticed.

Yes a timer would be a great thing to have. Only accessible by power drill? I'm taking it this is in an attic or crawlspace. Thats fine as long as you have your temps and ventilation tuned in, otherwise you are up for a fight. And most certainly you will want to have a timer come time to flower.

the difference in growth from 24/0 and 18/6 is only a 10cm.... its all personal pref.

if these plants are such a pain to get to, how are you gonna get them out?

The debate between 24/0 and 18/6 is a never ending one. Its more personal preferance. I personally go with 18/6 because ive read a few articles that support the belief that roots grow faster in the dark. Plus Im growing this poor plant to cull it once I've pampered it its whole life then stressed it out in its last few weeks of life. Least i can do is let the thing sleep for 6 hours a day while its growing ^^.
