ok heres my dilemma...
im trying to grow 8 plants under a 400w mh. i got 2 purple kush plants last month and picked up 6 grand daddy purple clones yesterday... the problem is is that the purple kush clones have a one month head start on the gdp and i only have one light...should i just wait till the gdp clones are ready to flower? or will that be to much vegg for the purple kush? what should i do??? sum1 please respond...:jointsmile::thumbsup::jointsmile:

Hrm you could do that, heres another option [prob what i would do]. Invest in some Floros since theres only 2 plants that need to veg more. What i would say is when your ready to flower the 6 Clones, go ahead with the MH light and move the 2 plants still in veg to the floros until they are ready to flower then just move em back with the clones. When you move them all back together you can even use the floros as extra light cuz i dunno much about MH lights, but 8 full grown plants could prob use the extra light.....thats my .02 cents

no i only need to flower 2 plants the two purple kush plants are a month ahead of the other six

oh, well regardless that plan or a variation of that plan is what i would do, shouldnt cost you to much and like i said, when all those plants are in flower the extra floros would help that one MH on all 8 of those plants

First of all, you don't want to flower the plants under a MH lamp, you want to use a HPS for flower. Find a conversion bulb that will burn a HPS lamp with a MH ballast and flower with the HPS.

One month is a pretty big head start. However, your GdP clones, by the very nature of clones, could be flowered now, so any waiting you do is strictly for size reason, not maturity.

With a 400w lamp, you want short plants, not tall ones, so you could trim the PK's a little. With the GdP's, put them up on something - an inverted pot, whatever - and get them elevated so they are getting the same light as the PK's.

...or, you could veg the GdP's under flouros, put them in the flower room when you feel they are ready and leave them flowering after you have harvested the PK's.

Then, learn from your experience and next time buy your clones all at the same time. :jointsmile:

i also have a 70w hps and 3 23 watt flouros... i was thinks about flowering one of them in under those and letting the other one vegg and keep tying it down... im low stress training them so i dont think the height thing is a problem...any input is appreciated
