Well, lets get the party started::D

MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS:
STRONG military.......we have a problem right now with extremism and it needs to be dealt with A.S.A.P.........Veterans should be treated like gold! Give them what they need + more for their efforts and sacrifices.

BUDGET & TAXES:
Go to a "Fair" tax system. No more need for the I.R.S.

FOREIGN RELATIONS:
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Between travel time and internet communications we need to stay in touch with what the rest of the world is up to.

IMMIGRATION:
Build a wall on the Mexican border and follow the proper guidelines on how to become a citizen.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE:
FAIR trade.....tarrifs on goods that are produced in countries that have false currency evaluations and cheap slave labor.

CRIME, DEATH PENALTY & DRUGS:
Ya do the crime you do ALL the time
You kill, you die
Legalization of all drugs and release those on drug offenses

HEALTH CARE:
A complete cluster fuck the way it is. The system needs an entire clean-up starting at the hospitals, suppliers, etc.... But it shouldn't be a given to be paid for by the Fed.

FIRST AMENDMENT, FREE SPEECH & THE INTERNET:
Child porn, terrorist sites, etc....are NOT part of what I would describe as free speech.

EDUCATION:
Should be completely funded through 4 yrs of College or equivelant program. Take the big money out of the sports program and value it for what it is, entertainment.

SOCIAL SECURITY & SENIORS:
Investing in the private sector instead of the S.S. system is fine but would have to be marked as that so that the funds were actually there at retirement. Under NO circumstance could a person withdrawl before that time. Also, if we quit robbing the kitty like what has been done for years and years.....there would be plenty there for the future baby boomers.

CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM:
TV makes enough money on what these people do and the news of the day, they should be required to give equal time to ALL candidates.

ABORTION:
Womens right to choose.

GAY RIGHTS:
Seperation of church and state, this is a religious issue. They should still have rights under federal law equal to heterosexuals.

GUNS:
Past felony offenses with a weapon or mental health issues should be taken into consideration. Besides that, if you can afford it, buy it.

LABOR UNIONS, JOBS & BUSINESS:
Labor unions should be able to strike without the worry of scab labor replacing them or the plant moving. If a shut down is needed for some fat C.E.O. to share the wealth ........let it be.

ENVIRONMENT:
We need to clean things up a bit but not to the Gore extreme

EUTHANASIA ("Right-to-Die"):
Your life...do as you will with it

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION:
I think we have enough of a diversity of employers now that this isn't needed

Have a good one!:s4:

I say we do whatever Canada does. Just my opinion, that's all. Canada should invade us...I mean, save us.

Abortion: Don't like it but feel its the womans choice.

Budget & Taxes: No reason in this country to have a deficit. Maybe a flat tax. 30,000 or less no taxes,30 - 100 pay 30%,100 to 500 pat 50%, Over $500,000 pays 75% taxes.

Crime,Death,Drugs: Revamp whole system. Too many crimes made felonies. Death penalty needs to be used more. No penalties for personal use of any drugs.

First Amendment: Should be wide open as long as it does not physically endanger someone.

Guns: Guaranteed personal freedom in the constitution

Health Care: Socialized

Military: Cut military spending in half. We don't need to be the worlds police. Vets need to be taken care of a lot better. If we had socialized medicine they would get the same healthcare the rest of us would get.

Social Security: Should remain like it is. Its a good fair system and there is plenty of money there as long as congress quits stealing out of it.

ABORTION
Not sure on this issue, at this time. I used to be for it if a woman has no other choice, but now I'm not sure, as one could also put up the baby for adoption... but I'm on the fence with this one.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION
Yes, but as long as it does not give an unfair advantage.

BUDGET & TAXES
A flat tax, I guess.

CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM
?

CRIME, DEATH PENALTY & DRUGS
Crime might be lowered if drugs were legalized, I think. The death penalty? Yes, I think serial murderers should be given a taste of their own medicine. To me it doesn't matter if they don't suffer like they should... the point is, they are gone from this world, and won't be here to kill anyone else. That's all that matters.

EDUCATION
Should not be an indoctrination center ("Zero Tolerance," for instance). I believe further education (college) should be free (like in Europe).

ENVIRONMENT
Clean them shitz up yo!

EUTHANASIA ("Right-to-Die")
Yes. Dr. Kevorkian did not deserve to go to prison. I do think people should have the right to leave this life if they so wish. Afterall, if they hate life so much, or if they're just too old to be happy, then what good do they do for the society anyway?

FIRST AMENDMENT, FREE SPEECH & THE INTERNET
Of course this all should be free, and the Internet should not be regulated.

GAY RIGHTS
Like P4B said, this *is* a religious issue, mostly fundamentalist christians/evangelical christians are opposed to gay rights. It's their life, why should they not have the rights that they deserve just like any heterosexual person?

GUNS
Yep, but I agree with what P4B said about this.

HEALTH CARE
I believe in free healthcare, like the system they have in Europe (or at least Germany, I'm not sure how many countries in the EU have free healthcare).

IMMIGRATION
Close the borders up... they're obviously not closed.

MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS
Well, a military is needed even if there is no expectancy of war, imo. But I believe that war should only be a very last resort if it's the only option left. Enough with all the war-mongering... enough with wars. War should not be declared and waged for big corporations who are only seeking to profit from the war (although, weapons manufacturers will, but that's a bit different, imo). If war is absolutely the last resort and the only option left, then that's what has to be done, I guess. But that's not how it is now... I believe we should stop policing/bullying the rest of the world.

MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS: Stong military, actually dealing with DEFENSE. Bring our troops home, protect the borders. Because with technology you wont be able to stop every country from getting a nuke. Look at Pakistan now, it could slide off. We need to protect our borders and not worry about the borders of Iran and Iraq. 9-11 happened because of intelligence failure or just plain ignorance. Terrorist hate the AMerican IMPERIALIST. Occupation is driving terrorism and we are bleeding this nation dry. The estimated cost of Iraq will be 2.4 T thats 8,000 perperson in the US..and you could probably count the illegals too.

BUDGET & TAXES: Abolish IRS repeal 16th ammendment. Some other tax, not based on the assumtion that the government owns you.

IMMIGRATION: Take away incentives for immigrants to come here. NO WELFARE, EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE. It is also rediculous that my taxes pay for someone who shouldnt be here, leaving me with less money to take care of my own welfare. Streamline citizenship. You can enforce the border without a wall. You just need to bring troops and national guard home.

FIRST AMENDMENT, FREE SPEECH & THE INTERNET: Exactly that FREE SPEECH. Any ideas can and should be expressed in any way possible. We as citizens should be responsible to censor ourselves from info or speech we dont want to here. Fuck the FCC. Be a responsible parent. obviously you cant do things outside of the law but the internet should not be regulated...its the last source of uncensored information. I dont trust CNN and rather do my own research cause God knows they DONT. Stop expecting the government to take care of you.

Unions - again constitutional right to organize.

CRIME, DEATH PENALTY & DRUGS: No death Penelty. their have been way to many mistakes in the system especially since DNA evidence has become more widely used in previous cases. Noone has the right to take life, not even the State.

Abortion - here is one im confused about. personally i do think its the killing of a living person, however, just let the states decide. If I got knocked up (impossible cause i have balls) I would probably get one. not because I think its ok but because im selfish. Its a right to life issue, noone has the right to take or decide someone elses right to life. Abortion is convenient, thats why we do it. IF we were all responsible we would have to absord the ramifications of our actions, but instead we have sex cause its awesome and abortions when its convenient.

Guns: I will shoot any government agent that enters my house and tries to take away my guns. This is crucial to ensureing democracy and power for the citizens. Dont trust that the government has your back. Germany and Italy were young democracies before WW2, look what can happen. And it is happening here in America, the legislation and executive orders that have past are right out of the Hitler Mousolini playbook. Read "The end of America" - noami wolf you will see exactly what I mean. Right to bear arms is crucial as a last line of defense for the people.

GAy Rights - the constitution allows individuals to enter into any formal contract they wish. It is the responsiblity of the state to ensure that this contract is not broken and thus infringes on the rights of the individuals. Gay marriage should be allowed by the states the Federal Gov shouldn't touch it.

Education - no child left behind was a plan to make our kids politically and historically ignorant. Let states and localities decide how they would best like to educate their populations. This not only offers teachers room and say in the classroom but also opens the door for inovation and experimentation. If a state has a great system it can be adopted by other states. Why have a blanket system that doesnt adress individual or communal student needs.

Healthcare - I think that free market is the best way to go for healthcare. HillaryCare wont work becuase we have 9 trillion dollars of debt. The patients arent happy, the doctors arent happy. The insurance companies and pharmacuetical companies are thrilled. Thats what should be addressed. Universal healthcare will not work here. there are to many people overweight and addicted to persciptions that I dont thin kmy tax dollars should pay for.. I take good care of myself and exercise why should I pay for some chain smoking fat ass's healthcare.

Phyco4Bud - im sorry but you are living in a dream world...The country is in the middle of financial crisis. You want to stay in the middle eaat, pay for veteran to get the treatment they DESERVE, Universal Healthcare, Build a wall along the entire mexican border, 4 years of college for everyone...how are you going to pay for this, sure i think the government should provide hover cars that produce no emmitions but it just cant happen. You must be one of those people who think mooney just comes out of thin air. Oh wait it does out of the FEDERAL RESERVE. The housing crisis is a microcosm of the entire economy. The Federal Reserve prints money and lowers interst rates. They create credit out of thin air. Then make it easy for banks to distibute that credit and noone really every question why this newly created fiat currency has no actual value at all. Our biggest export is paper dollars and with an increase in the money supply means your paychack and savings are being devalued. Take a look at the nose dive the dollar has taken on the "loonie" in just a few short months. Get your shit together and present some ideas that are actually feasible.

How does this work? Are we creating a virtual president from these issues or standing for election ourselves? Anyway, here's a tuppence or two from me. I promise nothing, in no specific order, all are important issues.

ABORTION: Ultimately it is the human right of the bearer of the child/phoetus to decide this, however it is a practise that I strongly disfavour, probably owing largely to the fact I am adopted as well as very clever.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION: Affirmative action to what?

BUDGET & TAXES: Fuck the economy. Fuck money and greed. Love is what binds the cosmos.

CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM: Isn't that what standing for president is all about?

CRIME, DEATH PENALTY & DRUGS: No to capital punishment. Commensurate periods of incarcerate/withdrawal from society for violent offenders. All drugs decriminalised and help given to addicts.

EDUCATION: Very important. I want the children of today to be aware of and inspired by organic, sustainable and creative methods and encouraged to deal with all negative issues passively. The educational system must be reformed to deal with the individual childs needs and to harness any kind of talent a child has. It must not be run in clockwork to the 9-5 bullshit work ethos, children must be outdoors in the daytime, not in the classroom. Lessons will be given in the evening mostly.

ENVIRONMENT: The colours green and brown shall predominate the foreground, blue sky for the upper horizon to be encouraged.

EUTHANASIA ("Right-to-Die"): If I was faced with death, or lots and lots of excuciating pain then death, I know what I'd choose.

FOREIGN RELATIONS: There will be no foreign relations, there will be no foreigners. All State barriers will be erased and the freedom to roam granted to all. Clearly a stupid idea from a realpolitik stance, but one which I hope shall win me the holiday of a lifetime on the love vote.

FIRST AMENDMENT, FREE SPEECH & THE INTERNET: Free porn and the internet, dunno what the first amendment is....

GAY RIGHTS: Up the bum, not up the bum, whatever he or she chooses. Cock or carpet, same sex, no sex, sex with goats, lavatory fetishes, whatever churns your turns is good with me. No animals no children.

GUNS: Its not a question of whether we should have guns or not, we already have them now, so basically we need them now. All military defence organisations should be arrested immediately, and tried for crimes against humanity.

HEALTH CARE: All defence expenditure will be directed away from defence and instead given to poor families so that they can buy healthy food for their children.

IMMIGRATION: See foreign relations.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE:Global trading will be severly curbed, unless it absolutely necessary for the survival of a nation.

LABOR UNIONS, JOBS & BUSINESS:
MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS:
SOCIAL SECURITY & SENIORS:

Fucked if I know to the last three. Let the old folks do there thang. Vote for me.

and it isnt FREE healthcare, we pay for it with taxes. Why on earth do people think its a good idea to let the same group of people who brought you FEMA and the Department of Education run the entire healthcare system. We are talking about a almost 20% of the US economy and you want to hand it over to the Feddies. So they make the rules. The same people who take fat campaign contributions from the insurance and pharmecuetical lobbies want to run your healthcare. Come on people!!! Yeah it sounds great everyone gets free healthcare but look at the numbers. Their will be problems. Lets make healthcare more affordable though the free market instead of giving the government another way to control every aspect of our lives. Wake up the more power you give to the government, the less freedom you get.

NOT in order of my importance:

ABORTION- Completely a womens choice. The government shall have no say.
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION- No freakin' way.
BUDGET & TAXES- I believe that having low taxes can fix a lot of our problems. I would fix the tax codes and re-write them all over again.
CRIME, DEATH PENALTY & DRUGS- Harsher penalties for crimes such as child abuse, rape, and other serious things. I also believe that the death penalty should be applied to many more cases. Also, I believe we should bring back harsher ways to kill certain criminals. An eye for an eye. All drugs should be legal, however the punishments for when you abuse them and do a crime should be harsher. That way people learn to control themselves while on the substances. This way no one will blame "the drugs" when they do something illegal.
EDUCATION- Let the parents decide which school their children should attend.
ENVIRONMENT- I really don't believe in the whole "human beings are causing global warming" however I do believe that it is important to take care of mother earth.
EUTHANASIA ("Right-to-Die")- I'm for it. If you want to die then it's your right to do it.
FOREIGN RELATIONS- Screw the U.N.. It should be there for a guidline but NOT a definite. This doesn't mean we don't use diplomacy however, we should but we should have our own interests in heart first.
FIRST AMENDMENT, FREE SPEECH & THE INTERNET- The internet shall not be policed. And the first admendment shall NOT be infringed. No matter what.
GAY RIGHTS- Gays should have the exact same rights as everyone else.
GUNS- Everyone (except for the obvious) should have at least one gun in their home. Gun safety shall be taught to everyone young.
HEALTH CARE- NO SOCIALIZED MEDICINE.
IMMIGRATION- Increase the patrols of our borders, give the border patrolers the right to use deadly force when necassary. If we catch you coming over here illegally YOU WILL BE ARRESTED and charged. NO LISCENSES FOR ILLEGALS.
INTERNATIONAL TRADE- Keep it open. Free trade is why our country is financially good. Also, we shall be able to close trade to the countries that we are having troubles with (Iran for example).
LABOR UNIONS, JOBS & BUSINESS- Unions are horrible. Encourage small businesses.
MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS- More money to the military. The war shall change, I suggest we become more extreme and use harsher forces against terrorists. Veterans will be cared for. No more will veterans make up 25 percent of the homeless.
SOCIAL SECURITY & SENIORS- Scrap social security. Let people invest how they want for their future.

ldg420
11-18-2007, 07:03 AM
ABORTION- It is a human beings choice whether or not to carry a fetus to term.
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION- Unbelievably out-dated.
BUDGET & TAXES- Taxes should be based on income, the top 10% of the nations wealth should be paying over 25% of the nations taxes, the bottom 10% should be paying 0.5 - 1%.
DRUGS/CRIME/DEATH PENALTY- Marijuana and naturally occurring drugs such as mushrooms, peyote, mescaline should be legalized, however I believe that drugs such as cocaine, heroin, meth, etc. should remain illegal due to the impact these drugs have on society. MDMA should be legal as a prescribed drug only.
The entire prison system needs to be re-done, drug offenders need help beating addiction, they don't need to be locked up.The death penalty should be applied to many more types of violent crime.
EDUCATION- College needs to be more accessible to financially challenged kids.
ENVIRONMENT- I do believe that we need to start doing whatever we can to go "GREEN" but I do not believe that humans are the cause of global warming, I believe that we are currently in the middle of a natural climate change that happens to the earth quite often.
RIGHT TO DIE- Every being should have tis basic right.
FOREIGN RELATIONS-I think we should remove ourselves completely for th UN, and approach our perceived enemy as an enemy nothing more nothing less.
GAY RIGHTS- Homosexuals should be protected under our constitution not because they are gay, because the are Americans.
GUNS- People convicted of violent crimes should have these right suspended, everyone else should have this right to bear arms.
HEALTH CARE- We need to kill the HMO while re-vamping the PPO, establish more clear and concurrent guidelines for treatment, including experimental treatments.
IMMIGRATION- Plain and simple.. If you are a illegally in this country, you are a criminal, and should be treated as such. We need to keep Mexico as a close ally so we can offer advice on how to build their economy so Mexicans would rather stay in Mexico.
LABOR UNIONS- Unions are extremely out-dated, they were created to give workers safe and healthy working environments, when such things were a rarity, these days they are normal.
VETERANS- They need to be taken care of properly! I think it is absolutely ridiculous that most homeless people are veterans. These men and women are the reason we have such great opportunities here in America!

I'm putting this in no particular order because I don't feel I can rank their importance in a cut-and-dry manner.

ABORTION

Abortion should be available for reasons of medical necessity, hands down. As for trimesters, I'm not familiar enough to make a clear judgement on this. I'll say this: before any brainwaves are present, it should be available across the board. Once any neural activity is present it should be allowed as a matter of medical necessity, a very poor financial situation, or inevitable severe illness in the child. I don't support anybody doing this as a means of casual birth control. If you can support it, and it's healthy, then you should!
As for partial-birth abortions, doing them in the last month or two; that's just sick. I don't support partial birth/really late term, that's outright murder IMO.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION

I support an affirmative action not based on race, but on need. I think if a kid shows superb academic ability and comes from a poor neighborhood, regardless of his/her race, they should get some special funding.
I do not support special consideration based on race. If a black kid shows exceptional academic ability, he will get the scholarship he deserves.

BUDGET & TAXES

Ohhhhhh that's a complicated one! Too vast to cover in one post really. But I support elimination or bare-minimum application of the income tax. Taxes need to be minimalized by cutting out many of the government's major wasting of money. I do, however, support a moderate degree of taxation for a socialized medical system along side the private sector, as well as educational funding.

CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM

I say implement an outright ban on donations from corporations. Now this could still be difficult because of individuals making large donations handed over to them by corporations.
So.... assuming we can't figure out a way around that, put very short caps on corporate donations.

Actually, I'm just gonna say it, I don't know how the hell we can get around this problem. There's always a way to weasle around the system and make sure corporations get special policy consideration. Damned if I know how to fix it. Maybe because it's late and I'm half asleep right now...

CRIME

Extremely strong penalties for gun crimes, rape, murder, million-dollar white-collar crimes... I'm sure I'll think of more later.
Overal, I'm not for this primitive eye-for-an-eye notion of justice by revenge. I would take a utilitarian approach that focuses on harm-reduction (for society)

DEATH PENALTY

I don't particularily care for the death penalty, I don't think it's an effective deterrent, but unforuntately I think there's times it's called for. I would reserve it for the real bad sicko's, the Ted Bundy's and John Wayne Gaisy's of the world.
In fact, I think I'd reserve it for rape/murder combo's and multiple murders above a pre-determined number. Otherwise murderers would get typical life-sentences.

DRUGS

End this rediculous war on drugs and start treating it as a public health issue. Do away with the DEA and cut off all funding to anti-drug groups like DARE who only discourage drug use by lies and scare tactics, rather than educating the public with real facts.
Personal use and small amounts of any substance should be decriminalized. Cannabis and hallucinogens should be legalized, regulated, and taxed; their tax-profits put into rehabilitation centers.
Production and sale of any other controlled substance carry's harsh penalties, long prison sentences. This will include alcohol.
Acohol and tobacco, however, will be legal to produce in small quantities. Sale, however, is still illegal.
Addicts who are found to have committed a crime to feed their habbit, or committing assult/murder because of a drug-induced violent state, will be forced into a rehabilitation center. Even after their addiction is past, they will remain a while longer and learn healthier ways of living; providing programs such as yoga, tai chi, health and fitness, and meditation.

EDUCATION

Education should recieve more funding for smaller classroom sizes and up-to-date textbooks and equipment. Teachers in the US should be getting paid considerably more, relatively on-par with Canadian teacher's wages. ($36,000-$60,000 a year depending on experience).
Private schools are of course allowed, but with no government funding.

ENVIRONMENT

Forming a nation and people that live in harmony with nature should be a top priority. I strongly believe this is essential to mental and physicall health/well-being.

I support the creation of mass and intricate transportation systems such as skytrains that run on clean, all-electric energy, provided to the public at minimal cost per ride.

We should aim to have all-electric cars on the road in a reasonable time period. Companies like Tesla motors have finally invented electric cars that are as (and more) powerful as any combustion engine. The myth that we need bio-diesel and hydrogen are perpetuated to keep oil companies in business. I actually do support keeping them in business, because it is a huge industry after all, but their efforts will have to be transferred to electric power stations, vehicular and battery production, and management of other transportation models.

Aircraft should run off hydrogen fuel, as it's the only non-polluting fuel I'm aware of that would have sufficient power to fly jumbo-jets.

Industrial emissions need to be massively cut, with the eventual goal of zero emmisions nation-wide.

Power grids should be largely based on existing clean technologies like hydro power wherever available. The rest will provided by micro-hydro, tidal energy, and wind. Wind power, while initially expensive, will be more economically sound in the long run since no refueling will be necessary.

Produciton of new houses will mandage energy-efficient models, with solar-panneled roofs and/or geothermal heating systems, taking huge strain off the public power grid.

EUTHANASIA ("Right-to-Die")

I believe that anybody living in a terminally ill state, in constant pain and suffering, should have the right to end their own life by means of physician-assisted suicide. Methods like morphine overdose would be preferrable. If they're going to die anyway, why should they be forced to live out the last few months in agony? Value of life should be based on quality of life, not just the fact that you're alive. It's your life, it's your right to choose.

FOREIGN RELATIONS

No more policing the world.
Humanitarian efforts will remain at relatively the same level.
Businesses will be limmited in how much of their workforce can be from other nations. A certain percentage, I'll say 70%, must be American (or the same nationality as the company's owners).

FIRST AMENDMENT, FREE SPEECH & THE INTERNET

What can I say? I'm all for it.

GAY RIGHTS

I believe gays should have the right to be married if they so choose. The "sanctity of marrage" is bullshit, Christianity does not have a monopoly on this union and should not dictate it's principles. Buddhists, Atheists, Hindu's can all get married after all. And really, some speak fearfully of destroying the "sanctity"; well, how exactly is two men or women getting married going to affect your marrage?
Sodomy in a consentual context should be 100% legal. Making a sexual practice illegal on Christian principles in unconstitutional, it's none of the states business and big brother can stay out of the bedroom.

GUNS

Handguns, shotguns, and rifles should be completely legal. Assault weapons should not, they're unessecary IMO.
I support a 3 day waiting period for background checks, and thus those with a violent criminal record or mental illness will be barred from owning a firearm.
I also support allowing the general public to carry firearms on their person. I don't support making the general public defenseless against victimizers and criminals. If you're going to pull a gun and rob a store, you might think twice knowing half the customers are carrying.

HEALTH CARE

I support a government-funded, socialized healthcare system like we have here in Canada. But, I'm 100% against this federal ban we have on privitized healthcare. private healthcare should be available to anybody who can afford it, thus getting the wealthy out of the line in the free system so the low-income can get in faster.
I also support government-funded fitness, nutritional advising, yoga, tai chi, and meditation programs provided at minimal cost, no cost to those who couldn't afford it. An ounce of prevention is worth 100 pounds of treatment. I think the general public should enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

IMMIGRATION

If you come here illegally, skipping legal proceedure, you're booted the frick out right away. If you keep coming back ilegally, you're going to prison.
Immigrants with valuable skills, such as tradesmen, doctors, pharmacists, high-education sorts should have top priority. Nobody with a criminal record should be allowed in.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE

We should demand suppliers have the same health and safety checks on their products that we do. Otherwise the rest is outlined in foreign relations.

LABOR UNIONS, JOBS & BUSINESS

Fully in support of labor unions. I not support the government's ability to force a labor union to end a strike by arbitrarily declaring them an "essential service". I don't know about the states, but here in BC our government has done this to 7 major unions after they striked against massive pay cuts. One such union was the nurses union; my mother is a nurse, she works her ass off and does not deserve a 15% pay cut, especially after those assholes voted themselves a raise shortly after.
Business practice is outlined in foreign relations.

MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS

Military should be shrunk to a considerably smaller size, but one sufficient enough to occupy or defend against any nation. I support missile defense systems and homeland defense forces. The army should be made into a much smaller, elite fighting force. One that has the best, latest-and-greatest equipment and highest degree of training on-par with special forces; just much much smaller.
Foreign invasions and wars should be based on a real, direct threat to the united states or her allies; usually based on that nation directly attacking us. No more world police, military action will be defensive.
The navy is way larger than it needs to be, and should be cut.
An anti-missile defense system and anti-nuclear defense system, that is perfected and utterly covered, should be installed. Then all land-based nuclear arms should be scrapped (which will save a pretty penny). Trident submarines, which make up about 50% of the US's nuclear arsenal (last I heard) will remain in very small numbers, ready to carry out the unthinkable should things come to that.

HEALTH CARE
All Americans citizens have a right to public or private health care. There shall be a dual system, where the working population have an insurance plan. Those that are unemployed are immediately covered under a federal government plan. No citizen shall be denied access to a doctor based on a pre-existing condition. No citizen should have to bear the burden of medical costs with the exception of prescriptions drugs which is covered for a low cost.

EDUCATION
Education would be covered until year 4 in college.

BUDGET & TAXES
A simplified tax code, with being taxed at the finished goods stage, rather than at sale. There will be no federal income tax, and all goods will bear a percentage of taxation. Corporations will continued to be double-taxed. The federal budget will remain balanced. Federal debt is capped to never exceed 40% in correlation to gross domestic product.

ENVIRONMENT

EDUCATION
Should not be funded by federal gov't, let the states pay for their schools

ENVIRONMENT
government should not regulate it, going green is so popular right now that if left to the private sector companies will most likely do everything they can do be environmentally friendly

people should be able to opt out of social security to save money on their own

And I support Ron Paul

Hey, why don't we have our own cannabis dot.com kangaroo presidential election? Vote for you top three candidates based on their personal manifesto. Oh I know it'd just turn into a popularity contest wouldn't it ... I predict if we had one though Rebgirl would become the first ever woman cannabis dot.com mock president, then P4B would get his lawyers in to transfer the vote to his one man party.

In no order of importance.

ABORTION - Pro choice and state right

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION - Eliminate it. Let test scores and job performance determine the better person. Lets stop passing on hiring the better qualified Doctor, only to hire those less qualified just because someone had to meet X quota of whatever reason sex, religion, race, etc.

BUDGET & TAXES - Eliminate all tax on earned income regardless of rich or poor.

CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM - eliminate all the leaps and bounds a 3rd party candidate has to go trough to make it on a ballot. Break this co-sponsored 2 party system we got stuck up on. Also introduce term limits on all elected positions. I believe we should drop out of the UN and kick them off American soil. No reason why people we did not elect into power should have any say in our nations affairs.

CRIME, DEATH PENALTY & DRUGS - Eliminate the war on drugs. Re-legalizing will cut out allot of our crime and lower the prison population. Do away with the death sentence. Instead place those who would be on death row together in general pop and let them kill each other for free.

EDUCATION - remove standardized testing and allow school districts to go back to teaching. I'm a believer that education in this country would improve greatly if we privatize this sector.

ENVIRONMENT - remove restrictions that ban new nuclear reactors from being built. All of ours are old and outdated. Technology has improved in this field that it is now safer and more efficient then ever before. Also push for renewable sources like wind ,air and water/hydrogen. We should try to distance ourselves from the current oil/coal deal we got going now.

EUTHANASIA ("Right-to-Die") - pro choice and state right

FOREIGN RELATIONS - open dialog and trade to all nations and not just people we think our our friends.

GAY RIGHTS - state right

GUNS - Pro 2nd amendment as long as they do not pose a danger to society. Setup a court system and a jury pool of both doctors and non medical personal. If someone is not competent to own a firearm, that decision should come from a jury of his/her peers, not government deciding who can and can not.

HEALTH CARE - Do not mandate it. Government run health care would tank the medical field. Instead should crack down on frivolous lawsuits and doctors who repeatedly make mistakes. Offer low or no interest rate loans to doctors who would agree to work low income clinics or VA's for a specified number of years after medical school. I believe this is what we do now for teachers.

IMMIGRATION - Build a real wall. One made of stone, brick and, mortar. Fence's can be easily cut through with wire cutters. A solid wall will provide more efficiency. Also eliminate "birth right citizenship".

INTERNATIONAL TRADE - Free trade for all nations! Adjust global tariffs to allow American products have a better chance at competition. Let us tax imports at the same rate those nations tax ours. I believe China charges allot more for US imports then US charges China for their imports. Stop selling weapons to the world, they just seem to end up in the hand of our enemies anyways.

MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS - Close up shop to some 600+ US military installations on foreign soil. No reason why we still defend places like Japan, and definitely no reason why Americans should be paying for it as well. ~60% of our Annual budget goes into the pentagon. End not just war but our policing presents on the world. Stop going to war just because someone wont play by America's rules.

SOCIAL SECURITY & SENIORS - Allow people to opt out of social security. We should be able to invest it instead. Seniors (and everyone else) be able to buy prescriptions from foregone countries. People in Canada are not dropping dead any faster from the same medications we have here. Medical marijuana maybe able to replace many prescriptions at a fraction of the cost.

Nothing makes me sadder then seeing some 65+ year old working at a McDonald's so they can afford the heating bill. Eliminate all taxes on the social security check and give those who are 65+ tax exempt status on minor non luxury purchases. Government currently wastes allot and if we can practice some lean management tactics we can then pass on what we save to help seniors who really need it.

ABORTION: I believe this is a matter that should be the choice of the mother and the father of the child. However I do believe there should be some regulation on how many times one can get an abortion. What bothers me the most is when abortions are used as a form of birth control to irresponsible women/men. Yes I am throwing men in there because they??re just as responsible when it comes to using protection.
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION: I don??t agree with this and it isn??t working, and it??s also being abused.
BUDGET & TAXES: I say to begin with we should stop spending as much as we do over seas. Cut a lot of the programs that have no been working like the War on Drugs, and the No Child Left Behind.
CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM: ??TV makes enough money on what these people do and the news of the day, they should be required to give equal time to ALL candidates.? I agree with P4B here. I also believe that special interest groups should be forbidden to associate with politicians who are campaigning.
CRIME, DEATH PENALTY & DRUGS: I say if you do the crime you do the time. You know it??s against the law when you committed the crime therefore you should be held 100% responsible. I am not for the Death Penalty I believe it makes the supporters just as guilty as the defendant. Drugs in my opinion are not the problem. The problem is the War on Drugs.
EDUCATION: Give all control back over to the parents and the communities of the schools.
ENVIRONMENT: Even though I am not a believer in this whole global warming is our fault idea. I still believe it is our responsibility to take care of a planet that has been so giving to us.
EUTHANASIA: If you want to die, then that??s your choice.
FOREIGN RELATIONS:Mind our own business and worry about our own country??s health.
FIRST AMENDMENT, FREE SPEECH & THE INTERNET: Just as it says! The internet should not be regulated at all.
GAY RIGHTS: I am all for it. Just because I don??t agree with their lifestyle they??re still citizens of American and deserve the same rights as a heterosexual.
GUNS: Everyone should own one! =) If you have been convicted of a violent crime then you forfeit the right to carry any kind of weapon until you have proven to the community you live in you can be trusted with a weapon.
HEALTH CARE: I don??t think a free system is the answer. Just because the Government pretty much destroys whatever they touch. I believe a sound and strong economy combined with competitive health care system is a great start towards affordable health care.
IMMIGRATION: It??s against the law and needs to be dealt with. I do not believe we should be responsible for paying for millions of illegal??s who enter this country and abuse the welfare state.
INTERNATIONAL TRADE: I believe we should trade with everyone. I would also like to see a lot tighter security in our ports.
LABOR UNIONS, JOBS & BUSINESS: I believe Labor Unions are a good thing when they??re 100% behind the people they represent, and have deep roots into this country??s history. We need more jobs in this country that??s for sure. Too many corporations are heading over seas and still making most of their money off the country they left. I think there should be some harsh penalties on corporations who bail just for cheaper labor, and better tax breaks. Crack down on companies who take advantage of illegal labor.
MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS: I believe in a strong military at home. I think it is a necessity to have in order to keep our country free and safe. I do not believe that the military or its weapons should ever under no circumstances be used against the citizens they protect. War should always be the last option on the table. We should never do any kind of pre-emptive striking. We should talk and negotiate with all countries. Never go to war on suspicion. I believe the Veterans are neglected and deserve the best help and support we can provide for them.
SOCIAL SECURITY & SENIORS: We need to be able to take care of the people who took care of us. Younger people should be able to opt out of paying Social Security and choose whatever they would like to invest in for their retirement.

CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM: I think is the most deadliest thing to democracy. its holding America down. Lobby reform and the way politicians get money for campaigns needs to be reformed before anything else.

Not much time, but heres a summary. No need to go into too much detail. I'm an anarchist but for our style of government here is my perfect president.

ABORTION - Unsure on this morally right now. Legally I believe in a woman's right to choose 100%.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION - Outdated in my area, I won't speak for anyone else though. Personally I don't think it's needed anymore.

BUDGET & TAXES - No more IRS, no more income tax. Taxes on homes, cars, and other big purchases ok. Government needs money to run. Better get it from those who have money than those who don't. No taxes if you make less than a certain amount.

CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM - Donations from citizens only, no corperate or lobby donations.

CRIME, DEATH PENALTY & DRUGS - Tough on crime. Innocent until proven guilty. Death penalty ok only for extreme cases such as serial killers. End the war on drugs. Keep heroin, crack, cocaine, crystal meth, etc.. illegal. Legalize marijuana for all. Lower the drinking age to 18... 16 with parental permission. Tobacco age 16. Drugs such as: mushrooms, lsd, mdma, salvia, mescaline, and morphine available at certain locations but strictly regulated. No jail time for drug offenses, just the option of going to a non-profit rehab center or to go back to their lives. People responsible for all crimes they commit under the influence, including trying to get drug money and they should be punished accordingly.

EDUCATION- free education for anybody. no more promoting abstinence. no more lieing. teach kids gun safety, safe sex, and drug safety throughout middleschool and highschool.

ENVIRONMENT- I don't believe man is responsible for global warming. I do agree that it is happening but I disagree with the current propaganda being spread. Everyone has a secret agenda these days it's hard to know where the line of truth lies.

EUTHANASIA ("Right-to-Die")- should be legal and strictly regulated by legal paperwork, etc... people offered counsiling, etc... suicide shouldn't really be promoted

FOREIGN RELATIONS- Policy of peace. No more world police. Pull out of the U.N. Isolationist. You get the idea

FIRST AMENDMENT, FREE SPEECH & THE INTERNET - You can be outspoken about anybody including the government. You can post terrorist sites and the government has the right to use any information and monitor the activities of the website and the owners. Special cases such as child porn should be stopped.

GAY RIGHTS - Homosexuals deserve equal rights. Period. If they want to be married so be it.

GUNS - Assault weapons with special permit, hard to get. All weapons legal. Gun safety promoted. Everyone encouraged to have a gun for safety. This will help put the government in its place too.

HEALTH CARE - Not socialized, but those who need help should be given it.

IMMIGRATION - Send illegals home asap. Block the borders. Legal process of immigration.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE - No restrictions on trade. Free market.

LABOR UNIONS, JOBS & BUSINESS - labor unions should be supported.

MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS - no more world police. war as a very very very last resort if we are under threat of war ourselves. veterans treated like the heroes they are. with less war going on more money to keep veterans happy and healthy.

SOCIAL SECURITY & SENIORS - Don't every toutch social security money. People should be able to choose if they want to partake in the SS system or not.

Jerry Garcia 2007

Ok here is my say in all of this.

ABORTION: it is the womens choice: Not really for it but untill the adoption laws are changed there is no way we can outlaw it. Why do you think so many people are adopting outside the US.

Affirmative Action: Ran its course no longer needed.

Taxes and budgets: Go to a fair flat tax with no deductions. Spend only what you have, no more, if some is left over give it back to the people. If any of us spent like our government does we all would be in jail for credit fraud.

Campain Reform: Don't know how to fix this one, but it is currently a fucked up system. Either you have the money from the big lobbies, or you can buy yourself seat.

Crime, Drugs, and Death Penalty: Well if the goverment legalizes only Marijuana and taxed it like alcohol and tobacco we would have plenty of money to help the addicts out there, therfore cutting down on crime. Then make it a ticket and fine for all other drugs we would have alot more space for the real criminals and and not have to kill anyone.

Education: Everyone should have the right, to a free education. I think most lotteries were created to help pay for education. Well that idea flew out the window soon after it was passed to get a lottery. If every state put 100% of there lottery proceeds to education every child could get 4 years of collage for free.

Enviroment: Well the government seems to think it is up to the individual to recycle or not, well that ain't gonna work. Occasionally the government needs to make rules that not everone is going to like. We are a country of convieniance and the cheapest way to get something, so if that means destroying the enviroment we will do it. Untill the goverment steps in and says you have to do it. I have lived in states with bottle deposits and it works, you never see a plastic or glass bottle sitting on the ground long in those states. We need to make the decision to ban all plastic packaging and bags this will help the enviroment and help in the short term our oil deficet.

Euthinasia: again your individual right: your religious beliefs have no say in this for someone else.

Forgien Policy: We need to stop being the world police and stop telling the rest of the world fuck off when it does not agree with our policy, we need to listen more, and stop telling the rest of the world what to do, Then only get involved when dictators go off the deep end and start commiting genocide or killing there own citizens to stay in power.

First Amendment: You have the god given right to say anything you want: that does not include taking pornographic pictures of children and posting them on the internet.

Gay Rights: Again another issue religion has no place in telling what people should do. Everone should have the same rights no matter your sexual preferance.

Gun Control: All for it if you have given up your right to own one, Commited a violent crime in the past, Are deemed mentally unstable by a court or doctor, have made threats to kill someone, and you must surrender any weapons during for a restraining order by the courts, (cooling off period, you may get them back at the end of the restraining order).
other than that you can own any gun you want.

Health care: Socialize it. It is way out of control and the only solution is tax everyone like your payroll deduction for health care or social security.

International free trade: All for it as long as the other country does the same. If not they cannot trade with the rest of the world.

Labor unions: This is a tough one, I can see where they are needed (ie. writers strike currently going on ) then I have seen where they did more harm than good (ie. amarican auto industry)
So I have to lean more towards for unions. But ban any campain contributions or lobbying by them. The union dues are collected for the union members and should be used in a way that the union members beniffit.

Vetrans, Wars and Military: I am sorry for you that have served and the crap you have now for health care. If you served your country in a time of war or not you are entitled to Free Quality health care for life. And if you paid the ultimate price of serving your spouse and children deserve the same PERIOD. Get rid of the VA and have the hospitals charge the goverment like Medicare.
WARS: Again stop being the WORLD POLICE, only get involved when most of the world body is behind you, And do more humanitarian missions or when dictators go off the deep end and commit genocide ( ie. Daufur, Yogoslavia, Rowanda ) Plus leave any war plans up to the military generals not some Idiot you appointed ( Rumsfeld ) I blame him for why we are still in Iraq. Military to be honest I never searved but I feel it should be everyones duty to serve a minimum of 2 years in active duty like Isreal. It is the only fair way to do it plus then everyone understands what is like to serve and the cost of going to war.

Social Security: It would be nice to get what I paid into it back again but that ain't going to happen. Seems the goverment thinks everyone has a 401k and an IRA. Well I do! The problem with this is: it is all based on the stockmarket and looking at the way we are going into debt as a country that could collapse at any time like in 1934. Then WTF do we do. Unfortunatlly I think we missed the window of oppertunity to fix this one.

ENVIRONMENT:
My number 1 issue. We need to enter into the international agreements regarding global warming. We need to take some leadership in this area. The Federal government needs to adopt some cap-and-trade policies for CO2 to create some market incentinves and help buisnesses adapt. It also needs to fund much nmore research and developemnt of alternative energy sources. I think we can create a lot of good jobs for people in this sector if we take leadership, otherwise we'll be buying this stuff from the Chinese when we finally decide we need it. If we can move avway from oil as a main fuel source, we can also avoid some of the geoploitical problems we have with paying huge amounts of money to our enemies for oil. We also need to adopt stronger rules to protect our watersheds from pollution and to prevent the total collapse of our ocean fisheries.

MILITARY:
We need a strong military adapted to fight the kinds of fights we are fighting now.

WAR:
The Iraq war was a huge mistake, but we need to see it through now and need to leave that place stable or we will pay for it for years. Need to stabilize Afgahinstan. In the future, we must avoid pre-emptive wars or "regime change" wars unless we are actually attacked or have actionable intelligence that we actually are going to be attacked. It's not enough that a hostile regime have capability --- mo future Iraqs.

VETERANS: We need to treat our vetrans fairly, give them what was promised, and especially stop screwing over the ones who have stress disorders and brain injuries.

TAXES:
Need to close the loopholes, reduce the number of deductions and simplifiy the code. Income from dividends and capital gains should be taxed at the same rate as wage income --- shouldn't matter how the money is made. If we get rid of the giveaways, we can have a fair rate for everyone. Do not believe in the flat tax and the "fair" tax (sales tax).

BUDGET:
Regardless of how the taxes are restructured, the government needs to balance its budget and start paying off its debt. If we can't bring the money in, then we shouldn't pay it out. If we can't stop our spending, then we need to raise taxxes. On one side or another, or maybe both, we need to balance it out.

FOREIGN RELATIONS:
We need a much more engaged foreign policy than we have had. We can't keep taking our freinds for granted and totally ignoring our enemies. We need a more collaborative approach, but keeping our interests in mind.

IMMIGRATION:
We need better border control. We need to know who is coming and going. For illegal imigrants already here, I think it would be too disruptive to the rest of us to agressively deport them. It's not really fair to anyone to give them all amnesty, especially unfair to those who are going through the process legally, but we have already let them all in and used their cheap labor, so now we have to deal with how depenedent we are on these 12 million workers and get them into the system legally. It's not fair, but we need to deal with it realisiticly and not cut our own throats.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE:
I generally favor FREE trade, but we've negotiated some bad deals for ourselves in recent year,s and we our hurting ourselves and exporting our jobs. We need to go back to some FAIR trade policies and stop letting these cheap labor markets screw us the way they have been. Once they take us seriously, we can renegotiate our FREE trade agreements.

CRIME:
Need to beef up crime ENFORCEMENT, not necessarily the PENALTIES. It is the certainlty of being caught that deters, not the severity of a penalty if you never get caught.

DEATH PENALTY:
Still support the death penalty, but so many have been overturned on DNA evidence recently that it needs to be looked at.

DRUGS:
Legalize and tax, just like alcohol and tobacco.

HEALTH CARE:
Single-payer national system for minimum level of care with private insurance for everytihing above and beyond.

SOCIAL SECURITY & SENIORS:
Social security will be fine with minor adjustments to contributions, the inflation index models, and the age to recieve benefits. Right now retirees get more out than they put in, and that needs to change in order for it to operate long term. Need to gradaully shift to a system where more beneficiaries own their own plans, but probably never a complete shift to solely private plans.

CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM:
Something must be done to get the corporate money out of this system.

ABORTION:
Womens right to choose.

GAY RIGHTS:
Need to be guaranteed a way to have the legal rights of a spouse --- don't really care if it is called "marriage" or something else.

GUNS:
Banned for felons and those with mental issues. Need a registration system so that responsibiloity for each weapon can be accounted for, just like we account for the responsibility of automobiles.

RIGHT TO DIE:
A person in consultation with their doctor should be able to end their own life.

oooh oooh I want Jimmy Carter's head, JFK's body and Bill Clinton's ass!:smokin:

Damn Psycho I am impressed. You hit all the issues right on the mark.

ABORTION- womens right to choose but limit late term abortion.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION keep it but make it based on income and not skin color.

BUDGET & TAXES-make the people at the top pay taxes just like the middle class is doing!

CAMPAIGN & POLITICAL REFORM- NO lobbying!! see senate ethics bill

CRIME, DEATH PENALTY & DRUGS-favor the death penalty for only the most heinous of murders, such as serial killing. question the harsh penalties for drug dealing, noting that selling 15 tablets of Ecstasy is the same class of felony as raping a woman at knifepoint.

EDUCATION-get rid of no child left behind its a joke. Pay the teachers more, repair falling down schools, global competition requires us to revamp our educational system, replenish our teaching corps, buckle down on math and science instruction, and rescue inner-city kids from illiteracy. Our debate seems stuck between those who want to dismantle the system and those who would defend an indefensible status quo, between those who say money makes no difference in education and those who want more money without any demonstration that it will be put to good use.

ENVIRONMENT-gotta be green!

EUTHANASIA ("Right-to-Die")-I'll have to get back to you on this one.

FOREIGN RELATIONS-direct diplomacy with our adversaries, we should take out high-level terrorists like Osama bin Laden if we have actionable intelligence about their whereabouts. renew our global leadership and bring our nation together.
Strengthen NATO to face 21st-century threats, forge a new and lasting framework for collective security in Asia, and work with other countries around the world to combat global climate change.

FIRST AMENDMENT, FREE SPEECH & THE INTERNET-champion of free speech and open-government, expert on understanding of the First Amendment, and constitutional law,
promote use of free speech and political activism to overcome official indifference.NO spying on American citizens.

GAY RIGHTS-believe that couples in civil unions should have the same rights that heterosexual married couples have.

GUNS-enforce the gun laws that are on the books!!
Ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons.
Increase state restrictions on the purchase and possession of firearms.
Require manufacturers to provide child-safety locks with firearms.HEALTH CARE-We all should have it but you have to cut the costs so we can afford it and no one should have their checks garnished to cover it. It should be a choice.

IMMIGRATION- have the kind of border security that we need and know who is crossing our borders! Employers have to be held accountable for hiring illegals. take the illegal aliens who are here, get them out of the shadows, make sure that they are subject to a stiff penalty, make sure that they're learning English and go to the back of the line so they're not getting an advantage over people who came here legally.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE-reform NAFTA, we have to be tougher negotiators with China, invest in our relationship with Mexico so that people in Mexico don't feel they have to come here. Ban toys from China.Have our own safety inspectors on the ground for food.
Human rights, should be part of the trade equation.
Fight for a trade policy that opens up foreign markets to support good American jobs.

LABOR UNIONS, JOBS & BUSINESS-retrain workers for the jobs of the future, invest and make sure capital is available to create new businesses, eliminate tax breaks for companies that are moving overseas, have an intentional strategy on the part of the federal government to make sure that we are reinvesting in those communities that are being burdened by globalization and not benefiting from it.
Make China live up to the fair trade standards.

MILITARY, WAR & VETERANS-End the war, do not send our men into war without a clear entrance and EXIT plan. Make sure our soldiers are well equipped BEFORE we send them to war and make sure we treat them right when they come home.

SOCIAL SECURITY & SENIORS-preserve Social Security by stopping any efforts to privatize it. Work across party lines to maintain Social Security's solvency for generations. Make private saving easier, cheaper, & more automatic for middle-class worker, so there is something to fall back on. Create new rules to force companies to properly fund their pension plans so taxpayers don't foot the bill.

Now heres what will really floor you. All that came from Obama. It is what he believes thats why he is my perfect president.
