Diesel has gone right up these days, it's up to £1.05 - £1.07 a litre, but im running it on Marine diesel which is something like 33p a litre, and i dont pay for it anyway lol! I'm lucky. I wont be able to do that for much longer though because they're going to start dying it white.

They dye the diesel here for farm equipment red..still good in any diesel engine but if you get caught with it in your tank it is a hefty fine.

I do not drive as many miles as I ride my motorcycle but I put about 20,000 miles a year on all my vehicles combined. I do a lot of aimless riding.

I don't drive a car, but I ride my bike 10 months of the year. Since March of his year to now, I clocked 2000km on my bike cyclometer. I bike to and from work 5 days a week, and do another 20-30km on my days off. YES! I love mountain biking. Pump tunes, smoke a bowl and just rip everywhere around Vancouver.

Yeah it's the same over here. Agricultural diesel is red. One of the boat yards over the river from the one i work for got caught using red diesel in the boats. It's even cheaper than marine. But yeah, i wont be able to run mine on marine for much longer coz a few of the boatyards have been caught running the vans [like i am LOL] on it, so we're pretty sure they're going to start dying it white so it's easier to tell apart. The only real differnce between marine diesel and city vehicle diesel is the viscosity, and it's slightly more translucent. Blooming tax!
I get new vans regularly - but i tend to stick with the same model. They're only old ones but they are mechanically sound so they get me from A to B without letting me down.
Hopefully i wont be doing that for much longer, because im looking for a place in Norfolk so i can sell up in essex and east london and get a nice nice place for myself on the river hopefully, and finally get my bigger boat.

I drive about 13,000 - 15,000 miles per year normally. This year it was under 11,000 because I had the two-month driving restriction after my spinal surgery and because, to allow me to rest and preserve my energy, I'm still using a car service to get me to and from school.
