I would prefer not to have to get the tanks is there anything that give off C02 ive heard sugar water on a plate gives off a small amount?

theres no use in using co2 unless you have your grow dialed in perfectly. and in that situation a big take is the most efficient

whats your setup like?

I have been very happy with this product: CO2 Boost - Supplier of CO2 producing mixture for the purpose of CO2 enrichment and air fertilzation (http://www.co2boost.com)

The yeast and sugar method smells but if you want to learn more try here: Yeast co2 generator - Yahoo! Search Results (http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Yeast+co2+generator&fr=yfp-t-501&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8)

Also, Dry ice works very well too as a DIY source.

take a quart bottle ... drill a small hole in its cap, maybe 1/8", doesn't really matter ... fill halfway with tepid water ... add cup of sugar, and a package of yeast ... add a bit of sugar every 2-3 days, it releases a surprising amount of CO2 ... the sugar feeds the yeast's organisms, which die, and give off C02 during their decomposition ... if you forget to add sugar the yeast organisms starve, and you have to start over with a fresh batch ... as said previously, CO2 won't make a visible difference unless everything else in your grow is spot-on perfect ... its probably the least efficient method of improving your plants, $-wise ... sugar and yeast are almost free, nothing to lose ... :smokin:

well this is my first grow so its not the best setup its a giant solid laundry basketbal with a flourescent light attached to the lid and the plant inside with 2 more regular light bulbs for heat and a tub of water so it evaporates into the air

Damn bro, thanks for the CO2 link. I'm going to the hydro store monday morning for a bucket! I had just given up on ever using CO2 (too expensive-ish)
