View Full Version : Pure Power Plant
I was given a cut of this by a friend of mine. He has been growing this strain but hes real lazy with his plants so smoke is not always all that great. It produces some huge colas and sometimes its better than others. This guys is kinda lazy and I know he dont do his girls right all the time. Picks them immatture sometimes and doenst cure it, Ill get buds that smoke pretty tasty and are nice and tight and sometimes it lacks boot and flavor.. My question is does anyone have experience with this strain. Im giving the lil one a go in my garden and just want to here about the plant and how to dial it in.. I know it has potential but some people are more worried about $$$ then do their girls right. Anywho anyone please feel free to chime in....

I think PPP is one of StinkyAttic's favorites, she'll probably pick up on this thread ...

I grew it. It went 9.5 weeks and produced amazing results. The problem I had was that I grew out 7 plants and there was so much variation between plants that I decided not to grow it again. Great harvest, amazing smoke which was found to be somewhat up lifting and social. One plant was the complete opposite though. Sine there was variations between plants, I could not give each plant the same nutes which ran into problems with 2 plants. Go low with nutes and work up.
Good luck

You can get a lot of bud off even mildly abused plants of that strain. It has amazing potential for both yield and quality.
As you can see from growbe's pics, it can get beastly; it bushes out if you pinch it, so give it plenty of pot volume.
The cure is important. PPP has a great flavor IF you treat her right.

I really love PPP! It has very big tight buds, grows pretty problem free, not too tall, and if you dry it over a period of a couple weeks, then cure for a few more, it has a delicious flavor! The high is one of my favorites, talky and relaxed at the same time. It is a beautiful plant. I give mine foxfarm grow big in veg and big bloom and tiger bloom with molassas in flower, and they seem happy. I did have a few lock up and need flushing last week, but I think that is because I used dirt with ferts.
I am growing several right now and I am interested in comparing the various plants.

Demeter are you avail to chat?
You're likely locked up because of that FoxFarm stuff. It salts too easily for my taste- even an old bottle- you will hear precipitates rattling around in the bottom... bad!
Thanks Everyone... Growbe those are some beasts.. My buddy grows it in a SOG of clones so he gets big buds but nothing like that..
Stinky..
What you say makes alot of sense. He never cures his pot.. Sells it after hanging it for like 7 days and its really moist.. I have some of his pot curing and prob let it go for couple of months.. ill post some pics once she gets the go...

That is the same nutes I used with them as well. I still use FF but now I have it pretty dialed in.
I have that rattle and off it goes into the trash.

zott, this is the second time you've posted your email addy, and the second time someone has had to delete it. It's strictly against site rules.
You've already emailed me, and I've already replied.
I'm not an outdoor grower, and I can't help every single person individually who emails me.
Any questions you have should be posted on the boards where people who know outdoor can help, and where others can learn from the responses.

Pure power plant is actually my favorite weed im growing it at the moment very good quality high, as its 95% sativa the feeling is uplifting and chatty but still mellow enough to make you stare into space for a min or two without realising. am smoking it at the moment tastes almost piney but smooth. very high producer indoors i have had almost 8 1/2 ounces from one plant!!! on 6 week veg and around 12 weeks flower. thc is i think about 18% so pretty potent. i use canna coco soil with canna A and canna B during all growth and flower with canna PK while in flower. if you treat this plant with the care and attention it deserves she will be one of the best smokes you've ever had.:rastasmoke::hippy:

This isn't about buzzing off, it's about buzzing over to the outdoor grow section where someone can actually help you. I don't do outdoor... really. Promise.

Wow, 12 weeks in flower - that seems very long for a PPP! I have never flowered any plant that long, even my blue haze are done in 10 weeks. Okay the crazy sagex does take longer, but that is a weirdo plant. I have three PPP almost ready to harvest, should be around 9 or 9 1/2 weeks- if the trichs continue to turn at the expected rate. Why would the same type plant take so much longer for someone else? Is there that much of a variable with flowering times? Or does nickers like a heavy, amber-trich stone? Enlighten me my fellow growers:hippy:

PPP comes down in more like 7-8 weeks. If it took 12 to mature properly, either you have a SERIOUS light leak or that's not real Power Plant.

I've been running Nirvana's I think... eh... ask Demeter, it's a cut of hers. lol. Yay for neighbors with weed... :D
I'm sure there are other even better lines of it, but I've got no complaints. They hit the nail on the head with that one.

if your seeing light leaks around a blocked off window, i have found that sealing with expanding foam works REALLY well.

Yup, it's from Nirvana- Now I am thinking I may be able to chop my three PPP sooner than planned - which is great! They will be 61 days on Tuesday, so maybe they can come down then.
It's funny how different it is when you are growing- yesterday I found (under the bed) a box with 10 pasta jars full of cured weed I had forgotten all about - :stoned:

well butty... stinky is who I go to for help, so you should ask her highness:D I am but a lowly noob when it comes to growing, since I have only been doing it for about a year. She knows her stuff! I grow flowers and vegetables mostly- but the PPP is a great choice. 8 1/2 weeks of flower, and in veg until they are 18 inches tall works for me!

Bump
It seems the flowering time varies quite a bit...
So this plant has a great yield? How is the yeild compared to Northern lights? For a sogish type grow..?
