I have a Hydrohut delux and have put in 4 600 watt lights. They are hortilux HPS lamps.

I have heard/read that you want at least 50 watts per sq ft and/or 2000 lumens per sq ft.

The HH is 32 sq ft. By that estimation I am at 11,000 lumens per sq ft. and 75 watts per sq ft.

I have grown pretty good plants but density is still not good or at least not as good as I would like.

I heard that a product called phosphoload by DM might help with this but I am not sure.

I have been thinking of going to 3 1000 watt lights. No co2 yet but I do plan to add it.

I am aiming for medical grade so any input will help thanks

Ide say with 4 you'd be good to go...hopefully you got some good venting cuz with a 1000 it was warm. Nice thing with 4 600's is you can cover a little bit more area i think and it's more adjustable to where you want them for coverage
How many are you plannin on puttin in there? and what kind?

Nothing but HPS will tend to make plants tall and spindley. I would substitue 2 of those for MH, and you could expect more bushy plants. Better yet have 3 MH and one HPS for veg, and the other way around for bud.

You talkin to me? I don't think I specified an amount, so how could it be too much? I was only talking about optimum color arrangement.

And,
after 50 watts a sq foot the pants cant use it
are you sure about this?
