Why cant it bloom again?

Lets say you grow a plant and when you harvest you carefully
cut the buds off, being careful not to damage whats left of the plant to much. Then put the plant in veg mode (18/6) for say two weeks, then flower it again (12/12). Will the plant grow new buds? What will happen?

It needs more than 2-weeks to reveg a plant. it'll be about a month before you see the popcorn buds you left on it to start growing again(if it survives). When you cut allot off the top you suddenly have too much root for the plant. This often causes root-rot which will end your plant in short order. To reveg a plant is very tricky, it should be used to get clones of an awesome plant instead of for re-flowering(takes too much work).
Then re-flower after you've got all the clones you need.

it really stresses out the plant and not all strains like to reveg, you just deteriorate the strain, more like 5 weeks to reveg

I've tried to reveg... never was successful.
