Well first What is a Hermi? It is a female plant that has been very stressed out to the point where she will grow male flowers.
A hermi can also be because of the plants genetics but from experience this comes from the plants genes containing earlier genes of a hermi before it such as the mother

Now why would a person want to that? Well a hermi's pollen from its pollen sac if it were to pollinate a real female
the real female would produce ALL FEMALE SEEDS

They have a nice a lil purpose although most growers fear them... But how could you make one....

Well, this might help, a few guides or steps I've learned over 7 yrs of growing making stupid countless mistakes to good grows turning my ladies into hermi but it should do the trick!

*Methods to Maddness*
(STRESS THE FEMALE DON'T KILL THE FEMALE)

*1ST*
Feed the pre-flowering female Nitrogen instead of Phosphorus (don't over do it tho)

*2nd*
Disturb the female light cycle different periods of time 12/12

*3rd*
Disturbs the female plant's dark period by turning light on and off

*4th*
Trim a few leafs and bend stem(don't snap the stem), poke hole with sewing needle right threw stem, try topping( don't cut or poke too much this is just to induce stress)

*5th*
Use temperature from hot tot cold, cold to hot (don't freeze or burn) the plant

* These five steps are to stress or abuse any female plant to the point of no return(Hermi), be very careful in doing so make sure to put the hermi in a different room or area when doing this she might turn the other females into hermi also

*If you don't want hermi just put "DON'T" in front of each step*

I do believe that seeds from a hermie plant have some kinda shaky genetics and have a higher tendency to go hermie themselves.

absolutely ... also, 'feminized' seeds still produce the occasional male, anyway ... bad genetics IMHO

Hermi's produce mostly female seeds most of the time, if your lucky, you'll get a boy once in the blue moon, thats nature

I may be wrong, but have always been under the impression that "hermies" are simply a normal plant with a lower tolerance to stress, before it freaks out and feels the need to self-propogate. (go hermie) Is this wrong???

I used to freak-out, seeing a hermie when I was a beginner. As my techniques and knowlege of MY growspace and the genetics that grow there increased, I have had no hermie problems worth mentioning. (been working with same genetics for years. I've just been taking care of my ladies better and more patiently)
This has been my case weather talking about bagseed, or purchased genetics. Finding an occational (unwanted) pollen sack has always made me look at how I'm meeting or not meeting their needs.

But then again, I hear that sometimes...the genetics just suck.

Well do to my young novice mistakes, I remeber turning a whole crop into hermi or a few male flowers on my females..... but I know this works from my own experience it produces about 95% female and 5% male/hermi or female hermi

herms are generally found IN trains with low stress tolerence.

FYI ive made a thread on making males into hermies in the basic growing. (it probly wont work, its just a test for the hell of it since i dont want them anymore)

A female can become a male bcause it goes back into it's original form, but a male can never become a female bcause it's something it doesn't know...You can always stress a female into a male but never the other way...you digg:jointsmile:

I have heard of people stressing males into hermies and getting some seedy bud.

What if one did this but removed all the pollen sacks from the male turned hermie and maybe not get seedy bud?

Hey Stinky, can you confirm these are merely the myths I think they are..

I was hoping someone has the answer, but as the weeks went by, I have been doubting what I heard more and more...

Well, I've seen males go hermi but this was in the case of a couple males I had laying around as breeders and they were kinda old. Just from that one experience, I'd say that the amount of bud you would get from a male herm would not be worht the amount of cleaning you'd have to do in the grow area after... ewwww pollen.
