Sunday is Veterans Day in the United States, a day to remember and celebrate those who have served in the country's military.

In Washington, many people observe the day by visiting the Vietnam War Memorial, which was opened 25 years ago.

Remembrance Sunday here in the UK to remeber all those who have fallen in battle, we had a minutes silence as is traditional on the 11th day of the 11th month I missed it by about 2 minutes as I was vaccuming the lounge, I was quite annoyed then it dawned on me al least I can vaccum without the fear of persecution or bombs being dropped on me or someone bursting through my door with a machine gun and killing me and my family.
This is down to brave men and women who were and still are to this day prepared to die on our behalf.
We must never forget them.

My grandfather fought in WWII, still alive and well at 90, strongest human being I've ever known.

If you see a vet today (or anyday), say something positive to them. They will appreciate it.....
