Im just curious if anyone owns a gun. If so, what type.

No, i don't own a gun but i support a persons right to be armed if they have legitimate training and a qualification. Guns laws don't keep guns off the streets, it is better to have one and not need it then need it and not have one. A true gunslinger encorporates discipline

I agree with you on that. The main reason Im purchasing this gun is for home protection and training at the range.

I have several guns.... I wanted to go out into the woods last weekend an blow up the Pumpkins from halloween.
That Glock is super nice.
My advice is when buying a hand gun....Hold it and make sure it feels good in your hand. All the grips are diff. GO to cheaperthandirt.com and make sure you can get ammo easy for your gun..9mil, 45 no problem....
I would also get a yugo SKS and then order a T6 stock for it.
Then you will have 2 kick ass, and take names guns..... my2

I own quite a few for plinking, target shooting, and hunting. Though I would have to say I wouldn't take a glock if it was free. I really don't like their feel, or lack of safeties. To each his own though. I also plan on getting a pistol for next year so I can get my ccw when I turn 21.

^ Oh shit man big up your self. I want a gun but just haven't pursed it. I've been looking around for paper work but haven't decided if its a good thing or not. Any way I want a black C.G. Haenel MP-43 Mp-44 Stg.44 god that would make my day. Excessive, yes I don't need this but I've been a good boy this year.

The Glocks have atleast three safeties:
Glock pistols use an internal safety mechanism with three components, with no external thumb activated safety switch as might be found on traditional-design pistols. Glock calls this the "Safe Action" system. All three safeties are disabled one after the other when the trigger is depressed.
Trigger Safety: An external lever mechanism contained within the trigger that prevents the trigger from moving unless the lever is depressed.
Striker Safety: A spring-loaded pin attached by an extension bar to the trigger assembly blocks the striker from striking the primer of the cartridge until the trigger is pulled.
Drop Safety: The far end of the same extension bar locks the striker into place from the rear until the trigger is pulled.

I know they have those safeties, but I prefer having a manual safety. I just have never trusted the trigger safeties, it's just an accident waiting to happen. Something can still get caught in the trigger guard and cause the firearm to discharge. I think they are good when used in conjunction with other safeties. Like the springfield XD which has the trigger/ backstrap/ and manual safety. like I said though whatever floats your boat.

Does anyone own any shotgun(s)? If so, what would you perfer?
Im kind of leaning towards the Mossberg Special Purpose 500 Persuader Shotgun. With 20" barrel; 8 rounds; pump-action; 12g 3" champer.

Well I like the xd's in either .40 or .45, if you want something for concealed carry. Whenever I go for a walk in the woods, I always take my ruger single action revolver which is a .357. My favorite handgun would have to be a full size 1911. Also with the shotgun, I don't own one but I have shot one. It's a fun gun to shoot, but I would definitely invest in a knoxx breacher stock. It's the same pistol grip, but it has a recoil reducing mechanism in it. Well worth the 100$ to save your wrist, after about 20-25 shells I was pretty sore for a few days.

1911 is the best handgun in my opinion. anything smaller doesnt have adaquite takedown power. its all about .45
if you want a real good conceal weapon get the comander or govt edition

Winchester 870 wingmaster 20ga with a modified choke 28 inch barrel.
Perfect for trap, skeet, turkey, duck, quail, etc. and a lot less expansive to shoot than a 12ga.

Remington 870 12-gauge, converted to 'riot gun', (I call it my 'Ghetto Blaster' :D, Taurus Total Titanium .357 7-shot revolver, Russian Imez 9mm Makarov (my favorite, the official Soviet KGB sidearm, outstanding weapon), Bond Arms .45 Colt/.410 shotshell stainless-steel derringer, Marlin .22 magnum WMR, bolt-action, stainless-steel, bull-barreled and scoped 'varmint' rifle ... I also have a FIE .25 auto 'Saturday Night Special', totally useless piece of garbage, only holding onto it until I can cash it in, at one of these 'anti-gun' buy-back programs ... great way to get $100 for a gun worth $20 :D ... liberals, ya gotta love 'em :D

Damn, you do it all, lol...
I don't load my own shells, so 12ga costs the same as 20ga for me. Can you believe the price of lead these days? Some of the guys at the range have talked about loading with cracked corn and/or rice lately. I haven't seen it done yet, though :D
