Hi Kenn, I'm feeling so super grinchy and can't believe it's already upon us again.
My mom and dad are taking my daughter to see the Nutcracker so I just got back from fancy dress shopping for her at the mall.

OMG.

Dude's already sitting outside in a Santa hat ringing the bell. It was probably 80 degrees today.

Decorations are up and those kiosks are set up around the mall that only seem to be there at the holidays, like the calendar kiosk and the board game kiosk. wtf, let me eat my Tgiving turkey first.

I'm gettin my 9 yr old daughter a wii , some cd's she wants and a fancy pink and bejeweled mavs jersey she drooled over at the fan shop. And I don't know what Im gettin any of the other 65 people on my list.

I love loading kids up and driving around looking at lights whilst drinking hot chocolte and listening to holiday tunes, I like seeing certain family members and eating yummy food and I love seeing my daughter open her gifts. The rest of it stinks. bah humbug.

Is it just me, or is'nt Christmas season suppose to start the day after Thanksgiving????
I can't wait for those incredibally annoying Old Navy commercials (you know- the singing, the smiling, the new sweaters, etc.) I'm no Grinch but come on, wait till after Thanksgiving!

In Australia mate we dont celebrate thanksgiving, I dont even know anything about it except you eat turkey or some shit.We eat turkey on christmas day.I Somtimes forget that we are from all over the world when we post. Far out we are the same in many ways but shit we are different ,while you celebrate christmas in the snow we will be in the middle of summer.:D

In the last few years we haven't bothered too much with christmas I don't have a list I just get what I am given, however this year our oldest daughter and the grandchildren have moved back in with us so we will be making a special effort for the kids, it will be more about them than us.

Cheers

I like christmas time, just not all the rushing around packed shops with children that scream and shout and cry and people who walk on your toes. If i went christmas shopping i'd end up starting a riot.

What i do like is sitting on my arse ALL day, smoking as much as is humanly possible - and i like the TV. [Well, i used to. These days they just put complete shit on, not like how it used to be with the only fools christmas specials. The queens speech is always a laugh.]

I did always like the Christmas Carol with the scrooge...I have seen so many versions of that..but I always liked that....a lot of my reasoning for christmas comes from this..If I dont believe in God, how can I celebrate Christmas which is the birth of gods son Jesus..it dosent make sense for me to do that...and the obligation...I have so many reasons.
