Ok well, since i've moved in to my uni dorm room i've wanted to smoke out the window but there is a nasty smoke alarm and the building is non-smoking...

I was wonderin whether it would be ok to smoke and blow it all out the window cos i wouldn't let any smoke in, have any of you tried to smoke with a smoke alarm in the room? I wouldn't normally try it but when i've been in a smoking room at a hotel before it had a smoke alarm but it didn't go off till we had 5 joints on the go at once. Soooo it was only sensitive to a lot of smoke incase there was an actual fire...

Do any of you guys have any experience with this or know any vague details about smoke alarms?

Put a plastic bag around it, taped to the cealing. Make sure there are no leaks in the tape...use duct tape if you have it.

Have a fan going, if you feel its necessary aimed out the window.

Well the closest thing i have to sticky tape is blu tack lol but i will try it anyway, if i don't post back on this for a while i am either too blazed or i have set the fire alarm off :D

Haha, definatly take it off once you're done. Make sure your rooms straight though.

Another thing ive done in my dorm , is to put weather stripping on the bottom of the door, same concept as the wet towel, but it attatches to the bottom of the door and creates a re-usable seal every time the door is closed :smokin:

thats a really good idea putting weather stripping permanently on the door but having something under the door is pretty much a giveaway that your smoking

No doubt, its much better to have the seal on the inside of the room, rather than folding under the door going into the hallway...thats asking for trouble.

All went to plan, thanks for the advice, blu tacked a bag over it and it didn't go off...

The hardest part was actually smokin tho lol, the window is a tilt one which could only just fit my pipe out and i had to turn my hand sideways to get it through. Also i had to use 2 lighters, 1 with flint, 1 with gas lolll

But it was worth it in the end, just chilled out and listened to Dark Side of the Moon and played the Call of Duty 4 demo

lol that must of been a bitch you probably wouldn't of really needed the bag if you were using the window like that

hotbox your bedsheets or a sleeping bag, it works for with practicly no smell, escecially if their is no openings, so basicly ur getting hotboxed and no smoke or smell is getting out!
