I really have been thinking about getting rid of my car and living a cleaner, more environmentally friendly lifestyle..I actually like public transportation a lot and always have..but I dont know, southern California is not a very good place for this..so, I will just have to continue polluting..sucks..
when was the last time you rode a bus, train, subway, trolly, ferry?

i have never rode public transportation before
houston really doesnt offer any kind
there is a bus, but the closest stop is about 13 miles away with no safe parking lot
with a safe parking lot its about 25 miles
i think the usa as a whole should offer more in city transportation and a better cheaper way to go from state to state

everyday. i take the subway or the bus to work. i take the train a lot to because all of my friends from highschool live in the suburbs so whenever i wana leave the city thats how i go. i have my licence but i crashed my car 4 times(2 before i had my licence) so my dad finally took it away :( and i take cabs a lot at night if im walking alone. i would never go anywhere if it werent for good ol septa.

Probably about 10 or 12 years ago on a bus, I occasionally use the train to go up to Glasgow as only a numpty would drive in that city. I live on a farm so we don't have public transport even if I did want to use it.

Yesterday. Pretty much everyday. Not today though because I'm skipping class
Havnt been on public transportation since i started driving. Wouldnt want to either. Fuck the environment. I'd rather not get blown up. I was in my van next to one of the bastards that blew themselves up above ground in London in 05. NEVER will i use public transport again.
And as the famous song London Underground sings, they can shove their oyster cards up their arse holes.

It's funny that you mention the Oyster card, as I just came into London a couple days ago and got one for the week. I can't drive here, so I'm grateful for such an extensive public transportation system.

About 5 years ago. I don't commute too often. With gas hitting $4.00 this Winter, I'm contemplating buying a reliable bicycle. :D

Not true. Ive been on the bus frome everywhere as far as spring/woodlands, cypress, katy, jacinto city and humble.. thats ALL over houston and beyond.. i live about 6 minutes from downtown.. if you live IN houston, not around it, esp from downtown, u can get pretty much anywhere. I took the bus this morning, went to BigLots.. got blowed first.. left a couple of min b4 it was time for it to come, music blasting, rolling stone under my arm, and my water.. i have a fuckin ball on the bus.. hadnt been on one in a while ..

Thats another great thing about public transportation..is that you can get high as hell, got your headphones on reading or sleeping or just checking out all the crazy people that ride buses..

30 mins ago, i ride the bus every weekday to get to college, but i also walk many miles a day before any of you insinuate i am fat because of that. I often get off half an hour or so before my bus gets to its destination, just so i can walk there. I love walking more then any transport, for it is mine, all mine.

I rode the TRE to dt Dallas on Monday night to see the Mavs beat the Rockets
And a few weeks ago I was in Atlanta with a friend and we rode the Marta just for fun & people watching one afternoon.
But I rarely use public transportation, I need a car for everywhere i go except for games cause it is so nice to not pay parking and fight traffic and walk 10 blocks when its cold.

The time before that, I used the downtown train to go to the library, and i was soooo stoned that it was like i was on automatic. I know its mean, but I hate it when people try to talk to me. Unless its like old women.. and theres always the pervy mexican who moves closer to where i sit for god knows what. anyway, so i love it when it works, that you dont really have to hang around the bus stops for long periods of time.. i have bus schedules on my phone, so i can time it pretty close, and when my highs last a really long time and just as i come down, im back home for more! we didnt have a train till a couple of years ago, so its new, and its street level... is cool when its nice out.. hey geo, why are you sad? hope you get unsad? hahaha im high.. kisses- Hilder

About 9 or 10 months ago I used to get the train every weekend.
I refuse to get any form of public transport now, especially buses. Spend 5 mins on a bus, just look at some people faces - the sheer misery is enough to make you contemplate just killing yourself right there and then.

We rode the redline down to Hollywood a couple of months ago but before that it was 2000 since I had ridden the Metro.
I have motorcycles and do not need to expose myself to the public and their nasty stinks, smells and idiosyncracies.

Here in toronto the commuting is made so easy there are bus stops at almost every corner except they stop north at the street i live on so lucky me. so the walk to my nearest bus stop is only about 3 minutes.
its great the bus' all go to one station which then leads to downtown making going downtown easier! but im FINALLY getting my own car today so fucking eh

I havent rode on public transport in over 20 years
my 2 young daughters and I, caught the transit bus that goes to the shopping center so I could teach them about the transit system available
we caught the bus, rode to shop, caught the bus rode back
just in case they needed to know how to catch a bus
we got back in the Bentley then drove home
